Since 2006, our summer school has welcomed teenagers from over 25 countries, offering a truly international and immersive experience. Your child won't just learn French; they'll live it, both on and off the court.

This specialized program is perfect for competitive tennis players looking to significantly enhance their skills while achieving French fluency. Your child will spend their mornings in French classes and their afternoons at the Académie de tennis Aliassime, where they'll learn new skills and techniques to improve their game and become a better athlete.

How Your Child Will Learn

• 📚 Morning French Classes: Structured into 7 levels of instruction from beginner to advanced, ensuring personalized language learning tailored to their proficiency. Classes have a maximum of 10 to 15 students per class.

• 🏆 Afternoon Tennis Program: Students will train intensively at the professional Académie de Tennis Aliassime, focusing on new skills and techniques to improve their game.

• 🤝 Supervised Immersion: Students are accompanied at all times during activities and excursions, ensuring both safety and consistent French practice.

• 📝 Pedagogical Report: Receive a final report detailing your child's language progress and tennis achievements.

Daily Schedule (Monday to Friday)

Here’s a typical day at the camp, balancing rigorous academics with intensive sports training:

• 8:30 AM: Arrive at Collège Mérici

• 8:30 AM – 11:45 AM: French Class

• 11:45 AM – 12:15 PM: Lunch

• 12:30 PM: Transport to Académie de Tennis

• 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Tennis Camp

• 4:00 PM: Transport to Collège Mérici

• 4:30 PM: Transport to accommodation

• Evenings: Activities in residence / Time with host family

Location & Accommodation

The program is based at the Collège Mérici Campus in downtown Quebec City, putting students at the heart of the action. Tennis training takes place at the Académie de Tennis Aliassime.

• 🏠 Student Residence: All participants will stay at Laval University residences, located just 15 minutes by bus from the school. Residences are fully furnished with Wi-Fi, and rooms are shared with another international student from the program, fostering friendships. Common areas are shared with other Edu-inter summer program students. Residence students are always accompanied by our camp counselors.

Full-board dining is included for all students staying in the residence:

• Enjoy 3 meals and 1 evening snack per day.

Activities & Excursions

Beyond the classroom and tennis courts, the summer comes alive with a vibrant schedule of activities designed for full French immersion and fun!

• 🎉 Organized Activities: Enjoy organized activities every afternoon (Monday to Friday).

• 🌃 Evening Activities: Students living in residence enjoy organized activities every evening from Monday to Friday. Students living with host families participate in organized activities one evening per 2 weeks together with students living in residence, and are free to enjoy the city or spend time with their host family on other evenings (with a curfew).

• 🏞️ Weekend Adventures: All weekend excursions are included in the program cost, exploring cultural landmarks and exciting destinations around Quebec.

• 🚌 Transport Included: All transportation between the school, residence/host family, and activity sites (including the tennis academy) is provided, ensuring convenience and safety.

• Start Dates: Every week with flexible program duration, from June 28th, July 5th, July 12th, July 19th

• Duration: 1 to 5 weeks

• Total Hours of French: 30 hours per week (15 in class, 15 during activities)

• Accommodation: Starts Sunday before classes and ends Saturday after the last day of classes.

Requirements

To ensure the best experience for all participants:

• Age: Students must be 10-17 years of age at the start of the program.

• Accommodation for Younger Students: Students 12 & under must choose residence accommodation.

• Travel Documents: Foreign students must meet Canadian visa requirements and have travel and health insurance for the duration of the program.
