Prestigious Summer Course English Program provides immersive English Learning camp for teens- ages 13-17- at London South Bank University, right in the heart of the city views of the Shard and the London Eye.

Location

Prestigious Summer Course English program held in South Bank University. With a fantastic location, close to Big Ben and the London Eye, students not only learn English in the heart of the city but also enjoy daily excursions to the city’s main attractions.  

South Bank University has well-equipped classrooms, student social areas, indoor sports halls, single en suite accommodation facilities.

Course Description

Participants of Prestigious Summer Course English Program will be tested on arrival and placed in the right class for their age and English ability.

Program offers 6 levels, from Beginner to Advanced.

Students have 15 hours of English lessons per week and fully inclusive program of engaging and fun activities including projects, games, and group work. These encourage confidence, collaboration and, of course, communication. 

There is also a weekly review of materials studied.

The syllabus includes:

  • Language input and language practice

  • UK or US culture lessons

  • Excursion preparation/ follow-up lessons

  • Online safety classes

  • Project lessons

Accommodation

Students are accommodated at David Bomberg House and McLaren House, London South Bank University residences located 5 minutes' walk from the main campus.

  • Single rooms with private bathroom, arranged into flats of 5 – 8 rooms

  • Each flat shares a common room/ kitchen (not to be used for cooking)

  • 1 bed per room

Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided every day. Lunch and dinner are usually hot; on excursion days students are given a packed lunch. Some dinners will be off-site, depending on the program.

Summer Course students benefit from all daily activity options and excursions.

Sports hall available on campus for use once per week and as well as an evening activity program on campus. 

Summer Course students have 2 full-day trips per weekend. A weekly travel card is included for all students, for use on the London Underground and buses (zones 1 and 2).
