Set in the breathtaking Alpine landscape of Austria, surrounded by mountains and crystal-clear lakes, the English Language Programme offers campers a dynamic and immersive way to strengthen their English skills while enjoying an unforgettable summer experience.
English is widely spoken throughout camp life. Many counsellors are native English speakers, and a large number of campers communicate in English daily. This naturally immersive environment allows students to practise continuously — in the classroom, during activities, and throughout social interactions.
Learning from native English-speaking teachers while using English in real-life camp situations helps campers rapidly expand vocabulary, improve comprehension, and gain the confidence to communicate fluently.

Families receive a detailed progress report
***
Students are assessed on the first morning and placed into suitable groups based on age and ability.
Four levels are available:

Because the programme operates on a continuous assessment system, students may move to higher levels as they improve.
***
The emphasis is on:
Building confidence
Expanding vocabulary
Improving conversational fluency
Strengthening listening and comprehension skills
Developing presentation skills
Lessons are interactive, discussion-based, and project-driven. Rather than passive learning, campers are encouraged to actively use English in meaningful and enjoyable ways.
Campers are regularly introduced to new topics and materials that stretch their comfort zone while remaining supportive and engaging.
***
Projects are central to the programme. Students choose topics within discussion groups, often selecting themes connected to their interests or culture.
Each project is adapted to different ability levels, ensuring appropriate vocabulary and challenge for every learner.
***
Campers create a visual poster describing themselves using adjectives and personality vocabulary.
This activity builds early speaking confidence and encourages social interaction.
***
An imaginative survival scenario that encourages persuasive discussion and practical vocabulary development.
***
Campers learn descriptive vocabulary related to:
Taste
Texture
Smell
Flavour
The session concludes with tasting traditional dishes, reinforcing vocabulary through experience.
***
Campers select a contemporary song and creatively rewrite the lyrics together.
This enhances pronunciation, rhythm, listening skills, and vocabulary flexibility.
***
Students:
Choose a destination
Write persuasive descriptions
Design a travel brochure
Present their project to the group
***
Campers:
Develop a short storyline
Write a script in English
Design a poster
Film and present their own short movie
***
Each lesson begins with:
Conversational warm-ups
English music playing softly in the background
Tongue twisters
Word games such as Scrabble
Group discussions about previous activities
This relaxed yet structured environment helps students feel comfortable speaking from the very beginning of the day.
At the conclusion of each project, groups present their work to classmates — strengthening public speaking and confidence.
***
By the end of the programme, campers typically show noticeable improvement in:
Spoken fluency
Listening comprehension
Vocabulary range
Confidence in social conversation
Public presentation skills
Cultural awareness
