Set in the inspiring environment of the Swiss Alps, the English Programme provides a fully immersive language-learning experience. English is widely spoken in the region, and campers are surrounded by bilingual staff, international peers, and native-speaking teachers — creating the ideal setting to practise English naturally both inside and outside the classroom.
Through structured lessons and daily interaction with fellow campers and staff, students rapidly develop vocabulary, fluency, confidence, and conversational ability.
***
Lessons run Monday to Friday
09:00 – 12:00 (3 hours daily)
Short mid-morning break (approx. 10 minutes)
Small class sizes of 7–10 students
Continuous assessment system
On the first morning, students are carefully assessed and placed into ability groups based on both language level and age.
***
Four structured levels ensure appropriate progression:
Beginner / Elementary
Pre-Intermediate
Intermediate
Upper Intermediate / Advanced
Because the programme operates a continuous assessment system, students may move between groups as they improve.
At the end of camp:
Each student receives a certificate
Families receive an individual progress report
***
The programme is designed to fully engage students through active participation. Emphasis is placed on:
Building confidence in speaking
Expanding vocabulary
Improving listening and comprehension
Developing presentation skills
Encouraging fluency in natural conversation
Rather than passive textbook learning, students participate in:
Projects
Group discussions
Quizzes
Language games
Competitions
Creative challenges
Campers practise English continuously — in class, during activities, and in social settings — reinforcing language learning throughout the day.
***
Project work makes language learning personal, relevant, and engaging. Students choose topics that interest them and work collaboratively to produce a final outcome.
Each project is structured with varying levels of vocabulary and difficulty, ensuring accessibility across ability levels.
***
Students create a visual poster describing themselves using adjectives and descriptive vocabulary.
A creative and effective icebreaker to build confidence and friendships.
***
An imaginary survival challenge where students debate what items are essential for desert survival.
Encourages persuasive speaking, reasoning skills, and topic-specific vocabulary.
***
Students learn descriptive language related to:
Taste
Texture
Smell
Flavour
The session concludes with sampling traditional dishes, making vocabulary memorable and experiential.
***
Students choose a popular contemporary song and creatively rewrite the lyrics.
This improves rhythm, pronunciation, vocabulary flexibility, and teamwork.
***
Students design and create a holiday brochure by:
Researching destinations
Writing persuasive descriptions
Designing layouts
Presenting their travel proposal
This builds descriptive language and presentation skills.
***
Students:
Develop an original idea
Write a script
Design a poster
Film and produce a short movie
This project integrates storytelling, dialogue writing, teamwork, and public presentation.
***
Each morning begins with:
Warm-up discussions
Conversation practice
Background English music
Tongue twisters
Word games (e.g., Scrabble)
Teachers encourage open conversation about:
The previous day’s activities
Personal interests
Music and culture
Upcoming camp events
This relaxed yet structured approach ensures students feel comfortable speaking and experimenting with new vocabulary.
***
By the end of the programme, students typically show improvement in:
Conversational fluency
Vocabulary range
Listening comprehension
Pronunciation
Public speaking confidence
Presentation skills
Cross-cultural communication
