This 2-week course includes classes in magic, wizardry and a study of Harry Potter characters. Your child will go on a Harry Potter trail in Oxford including entrance to Christchurch College and an audio tour of the Bodleian library quad. They will also attend Harry Potter movie night, a themed disco and quiz plus a visit to the Harry Potter set at Warner Brothers Studio, London.
Our Bath Residential Summer Centre is based at Downside School. This classic “Harry Potter” style English boarding school is one of the oldest and most prestigious private schools in the country. Downside occupies a beautiful 500-acre estate at the foot of the Mendip Hills and offers excellent facilities. The centre is ideally situated just 25 minutes south of the city of Bath in Somerset and two and a half hours from London.

**Activities: ** Students benefit from a full weekly activity program, mostly on campus. Typical activities include: Arts and crafts, Badminton, Barbecues, Basketball, Bushcraft/Woodcraft, Capture the Flag, Casino night, Cookery, Dance, Dodgeball, Disco night, Football, Frisbee games, Karaoke, Kings' Got Talent, Latin dances, Movie night, Murder Mystery, Pool parties, Quiz challengers, Swimming games, Tennis, Touch Rugby, Volleyball, Zumba.
Mix of traditional accommodation embedded in the stunning main quad in addition to separate and self-contained boarding houses.
A mix of single and twin with some triple rooms and a small number of rooms for 4 – 8 students
Modern communal bathrooms
Boys and girls are housed in different accommodation areas/ boarding houses

Meal Plan:
Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided every day.
Lunch and dinner are usually hot; on excursion days students are given a packed lunch.
Special dietary requirements
Pocket Money
We recommend students bring an amount of £50 per week pocket money for treats and gifts. This is a suggested amount, every student is different.

Half-day excursions:
Students will be met at the airport by a Kings guide or Kings representative.Students should look for a sign which says Kings Young Learners.
Please note that the Kings guide or Kings representative may not be at the arrivals area until 45 minutes after the flight arrival time.
If a student cannot find the Kings guide or Kings representative, the student should go to the Airport Information Desk and show the staff a copy of their Transfer Confirmation Letter. In this situation, it is important not to panic and remain within the terminal building. Airports are big and busy, but Kings has been collecting students for many years. We will look after them!
For flight delays or other travel emergencies, please telephone the Travel emergency number: +44 7421 420 020.
For those students who have booked the Heathrow Shuttle services, Kings will organise transport at the below set arrival/departure times to/from Heathrow. Students will be supervised by Kings Staff should they have to wait for the next shuttle service.
Departure from airport at midday, 3pm & 7pm
Departure from centre at 6am, 10am and 1pm
If a student is arriving to or departing from the campus with a parent/guardian, we do require information on their arrival time and/or pick up time from campus in advance.
Kings will provide you with a document to complete prior to your arrival date. Students are not permitted to travel on their own to or from the campus.
Please note for arrivals the drop off time to centre is between 3pm – 6pm.
Please note for departures the pick up time from centre is between 9am – 11am.
