Course Description: Full-Day English & London Experience for Teens in Kensington, Central London

📍 Location & Setting

This full-day English and cultural programme takes place in Kensington, central London, one of the city’s safest and most prestigious residential areas. Classes are held in an impressive Victorian building across six floors, just five minutes’ walk from Gloucester Road and Earl’s Court Underground stations, making it easily accessible for families staying anywhere in London.

The centre is designed for families visiting London during the summer, allowing teenagers to study in a structured, supervised environment while exploring the city’s world-famous landmarks alongside their peers.

👦👧 Who Can Attend

  • Age range: 13–17 years

  • English levels: Elementary to Advanced (A2–C1)

Students are placed into classes according to age and English level, ensuring lessons are appropriately paced, engaging, and supportive.

📚 Morning Programme – English Language Study

Each morning, students take part in 15 hours of English tuition per week, running from 09:00–12:30, Monday to Friday.

  • Maximum class size: 12 students

  • Focus areas:

  • Grammar

  • Reading and writing

  • Listening

  • Speaking and pronunciation

Lessons are lively and interactive, with a strong emphasis on spoken communication and real-world English. Learning is project-based, helping students build confidence and express ideas clearly.

🏛️ Weekly Study Visit

A highlight of the morning programme is a weekly supervised study visit with the class teacher to one of London’s major museums, all within 20–25 minutes’ walk, such as:

  • Science Museum

  • Natural History Museum

  • Victoria & Albert Museum

These visits link classroom learning to real-life contexts and inspire creative follow-up projects.

🕘 Afternoon Programme – Explore London

From 13:30–17:00, students participate in a structured afternoon programme combining cultural exploration and on-site activities.

🌍 Explore London (At least 3 afternoons per week)

Students explore famous London sights with staff supervision, such as:

  • Tower Bridge

  • National Gallery

  • Thames River Cruise

  • Transport Museum

  • Design Museum

  • Battersea Park (cycling, mini golf, outdoor activities)

All entrance fees for scheduled visits are included.

🎨 On-Site Activities (Other afternoons)

When not out exploring, students take part in:

  • Arts and crafts

  • Team-building games

  • Research projects

  • Creating a historic London timeline

  • Presentation and communication activities

These sessions reinforce English learning in a relaxed, creative setting.

  • Students are collected by parents at 17:00
