Activities
Each evening our teams hold well-being activities and events designed to build confidence and help students make connections. They’ll develop key team-working and communication skills whilst, most importantly, having fun! This part of the experience ensures students socialise with peers outside of their subject groups and builds a sense of community within the college. Alongside a wide range of traditional team sports, students can choose to participate in other wellbeing and fun activities such as yoga, art, poetry and creative sessions. Our social programme is led by the College Mentors with students at the very heart of it, who choose and shape the programme’s activities around their interests. Our social programme explores much of what the historic city offers, including informative walking tours, stunning walks around Christchurch meadow and traditional punts along the river. Our students will experience Oxford as it is truly meant to be seen. To encourage students to develop their independence, they are provided with free time in small groups to explore their new surroundings. Visiting the Botanic Gardens, meander through Christchurch College and take in the stunning Magdalen School rose gardens, making the cobbled streets of Oxford their own.
Accommodations
All of our students will live on-site at an Oxford university college in comfortable accommodation in a mixture of single and shared rooms. Bathroom facilities will be shared between accommodation blocks. All rooms come with Wi-Fi access.
WYCLIFFE HALL: Wycliffe Hall can be found on the leafy Banbury Road just a stone’s throw away from the University Parks, which is arguably one of the best green spaces in all of Oxford. At Wycliffe Hall, students will enjoy traditional student single and twin rooms and a cosy common room and a large garden where they can make friends and relax.
Wadham College: At Wadham College students will find spacious single-room accommodation built in the traditional Oxford format of ‘staircases’. Our students will find the college a comfortable place to live and study. With easy access to Oxford city centre and close to University Parks, students will be fully immersed in the distinct Oxford atmosphere at Wadham College.
Meals
Students will have all their meals on-campus at Wycliffe Hall which offers an intimate dining environment overlooking the college gardens.
Meal times offer a diverse menu made by the college’s own caterers who provide students with a selection of meal choices each day, including a full English breakfast three days per week and a continental breakfast available every day (pastries, fresh fruit, yoghurt and cereal).
For lunch and dinner there is always a choice of two hot meals, including a vegetarian and halal option. Students also have a salad bar available to them, as well as fresh bread, fruit and desserts. In addition, drinks and biscuits are prepared each night before bed.
Students will be provided with a packed lunch for excursions.
Pocket Money
All activities, excursions and meals are included in the price, so the only money needed is for tuck shop snacks, presents or souvenirs. We generally recommend about £70 per week pocket money. We recommend that pocket money is provided on bank cards rather than in cash, for security reasons. Please note that some shops and attractions only accept card payments. If providing your child with cash, please send pocket money in small notes (£5 / £10 / £20) as most places do not accept the larger £50 note. All pocket money (bank cards and cash) is kept in the school safe and can be collected from the office at set times before excursions.
Excursions
Throughout a two-week programme at Oxford College Summer School students have two day trips to look forward to, including a landmark-filled trip to London, followed by an enjoyable day out around Oxford. Our dedicated social programme team design memorable visits to London for all of our students. In previous years itineraries have included Kew gardens, London sightseeing and visiting the museums of Greenwich and Knightsbridge. Every London itinerary comes with free time to explore and browse the stores of some of Britain’s most loved brands.
Transportation
We offer an Airport Transfer Service to Oxford College for any flights to and from Heathrow Airport. This will be in operation throughout the scheduled arrival and departure days and available for all flights between 09.00 and 17.00 at a cost of £120 per journey.

They are composed of interactive workshops, lectures, and active research projects guided by working mathematicians, often in a real-world environment. Our Industry Experience offers our students the unique opportunity to visit a live workplace and witness the professional application of mathematics. The experience will broaden your horizons, give you a taste of your potential future career and enable you to discuss life in mathematics directly with leading professionals.
