Engineering Design Methodology
Students will work in small teams to bring a product from concept to a functional prototype. This hands-on course covers essential stages such as defining specifications, researching and ideating concepts, modeling performance, developing working drawings, and selecting materials. Participants will construct, test, and revise their prototypes, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the engineering workflow.

Participants will leave the course with valuable portfolio-building documentation, including:
A Course Completion Certificate demonstrating successful completion of the Summer Institute UT Austin program.
A Letter of Recognition from Summer Institute acknowledging academic achievement.
Participants are responsible for arranging their travel to and from the University of Texas at Austin. Detailed information about accommodations and transportation options will be provided upon acceptance into the program.

If your home country is not one of the 40 countries in the U.S. Visa Waiver Program, you will need a B-2 Visitor Visa to attend the program.
The B-2 visa is for tourism and short-term study (under 16–18 hours of classes per week).
