A Chance to Preview the Future: Self Driving Cars, Robots, Mars Mission. What Do You See?

The ''Explore Engineering & Technology'' course will provide you a thorough overview of the intriguing career choices available in engineering and technology.

This program provided by Oxford Royale Pre College Engineering and Technology will motivate you to review developing technical applications ranging from self-driving cars to space flight, you will investigate the disciplines of civil, mechanical, biomedical, and aerospace engineering.

You'll get a graduation certificate after successfully completing your course, which will be presented to you and your parents at a special ceremony on the last Friday of summer school. We'll also provide you a full report card that details all you've accomplished throughout your time with us, as well as some recommendations for future success.

Location

Are you ready to taste what it's like to be a student at Oxford? Your Oxford Summer School experience will take place in historic residential colleges.

Sleep in historic quadrangles, mingle in bustling student common areas, and unwind in beautiful campus gardens. Take a seat in the lofty hallways where students have dined for over 800 years. Learn in lecture halls and labs where revolutionary discoveries were created, and in classrooms where 55 Nobel Laureates gained fundamental academic and life skills essential for future success.

Course Description

In a truly international environment – over 170 nationalities, 20+ hours a week with maximum of 15 students per class, you will have opportunities to talk and debate with world-class guest speakers about Engineering and Technology.

In this program you

• Use engineering concepts to solve both everyday issues and great challenges in the future.

• See different engineering areas are compared and contrasted.

• Improve your ability to design, solve problems, communicate, and collaborate.

• Improve your problem-solving skills by using physics and maths.

• Design simulations and challenges allow you to practice becoming an engineer.

Accommodation

Most of Oxford's housing locations contain a mix of single and twin beds, with en-suite bedrooms available on certain campuses and shared toilet facilities shared by a small group of same-sex students on others.

If you have a certain room type in mind, you can request it during the enrollment process, which may or may not be granted depending on availability.

If you require a certain room type for medical reasons, please contact the camp's Admissions Team, who will be able to verify availability on various locations based on the course you have chosen.

Remember, sharing a room with other students is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and make friends.

Getting to Oxford University

By Flight

The following is a list of the most convenient airports for Oxford. To choose a flight that meets your needs, we recommend looking online.

• Stansted (3.5 hours away)

By Train - Eurostar

The Eurostar is a rail service that connects France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands to the United Kingdom. The Eurostar arrives at London's central St Pancras International station.

Oxford Royale Academy Airport Transfer Service

A member of the Oxford Royale Academy staff will meet students with an Airport Transfer booking in the arrivals hall and ensure that they are connected with their taxi driver. The student will be driven directly to their lodging by the driver. When it's time to leave the program, students are picked up from their lodging and driven to the appropriate airport terminal. If the student is traveling as an unaccompanied minor, please notify the camp when booking your Airport Transfer and the camp will provide you with any further information you require.

Public Transport

The information is valid at the time of writing, but you should always check with the public transportation operator for the most up-to-date service availability. You are also urged to reserve any public transportation in advance to verify that your preferred route is available.

Good to Know Before Picking the Session for Oxford Royale Pre College Engineering Program Covid regulations

Because international travel to the United Kingdom and the United States is much easier now than it was last summer, we are hopeful that many more students will be able to join us in summer 2022 for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Children under the age of 18 from a wide number of countries with "authorized" immunization programs will no longer be required to quarantine upon arrival in England as of October 4, 2021.

Cancellation rules

The following are the terms and conditions for refunds at Oxford Royale Academy:

Any cancellation request must be made in writing and under the following conditions:

Once the two-week cooling-off period has ended, there will be no reimbursement of the deposit; for cancellations before your course start date, the rest of the course costs less the deposit amount will be proportionally refunded as per the list below:

• 120+ days before:100% refund

• 90-119 days before:50% refund

• 45-89 days before:10% refund

• 0-44 days before: 0% refund

Any course for a student under the age of 18 includes a transportation option.
