Students at the Junior Summer School reside and study at Uppingham School, one of the finest and most distinguished boarding institutions in the United Kingdom. Uppingham features cutting-edge learning, sports, and leisure facilities, as well as a welcoming and safe environment in which to live and learn. Students may expect a friendly, inviting, and comfortable stay in world-class grounds and buildings.
Students in all of our programs are encouraged to learn about one another's cultures and histories, both in class and the many extracurricular activities. Many students form lifelong friendships while taking these summer classes, and many of them return year after year to catch up, explore new things, and most importantly, have fun. Participants also benefit from joint trips and activities with native and proficient English speakers, which improves their conversational abilities and confidence.
The "Junior English Programme" will help you improve your English speaking, reading, writing, and listening abilities and confidence. Through creative practical courses and engaging cultural excursions, you'll be immersed in interesting facets of British culture while also improving your English skills.
The following are some of the things you will learn in this course:
We know you'll want to tell your family, friends, and instructors about your fantastic summer of exploration when you go home. We also recognize that you'll want to learn from your ORA teacher not just what you did exceptionally well on your course, but also where you may improve and learn more in the future.
You'll get a graduation certificate after successfully completing your course, which will be presented to you and your parents at a special ceremony on the last Friday of summer school. We'll also provide you a full report card that details all you've accomplished throughout your time with us, as well as some recommendations for future success.
