A small-group European backpacking adventure designed for high school students who want culture, epic scenery, food, freedom, and lifelong friendships. With a rail pass in hand and your backpack on, you’ll explore world-famous landmarks, charming villages, and thrilling alpine activities — all while bonding with a tight-knit group and discovering three incredible countries.

A limited number of participants depart on day 14, and new participants may join as the group continues into Italy.

*�️ Itinerary

Day 1 — Flight to Paris, France

Fly overnight to Paris and meet your group. Orientation begins with icebreakers and bonding activities.

Days 2–5 — Paris, France 🇫�*

Bienvenue!

Explore the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame, and the Louvre. Cruise the Seine by night, bike through Parisian neighborhoods, browse the Champs-Élysées, and visit Versailles’ Hall of Mirrors and royal gardens. Daily croissants, baguettes, and crepes complete the experience.

Days 6–8 — Tignes, France 🇫�*

Welcome to the Alps!

Ski or snowboard (weather permitting), kayak or paddleboard on the lake, hike through stunning mountain scenery, and launch yourself into the lake from Acroland’s giant slides. Enjoy village life surrounded by breathtaking alpine views.

Day 9 — Geneva, Switzerland 🇨�*

Tour the United Nations*, see the iconic Jet d’Eau, and taste Switzerland’s legendary chocolate and fondue.

Days 10–12 — Interlaken, Switzerland 🇨�*

The adventure capital of Europe!

Go whitewater rafting, conquer a forest ropes course with Tarzan swings and ziplines, and dine high above the rooftops surrounded by the Jungfrau peaks. A perfect send-off before heading to Italy.

Day 13 — Milan, Italy 🇮�*

Arrive in Italy’s style capital.

Climb the Duomo rooftop for incredible views and enjoy a farewell dinner for the 14-day participants before continuing south.

Days 14–16 — Cinque Terre, Italy 🇮�*

Explore five cliffside villages connected by coastal trails.

Hike between villages, enjoy the beaches, and unwind overlooking the Mediterranean. Fresh pesto where it was invented!

Days 17–18 — Venice, Italy 🇮�*

Get lost in a maze of canals, bridges, and hidden alleys.

Visit Piazza San Marco, Doge’s Palace, watch Murano glassblowing, and take an iconic gondola ride.

Days 19–21 — Florence, Italy 🇮�*

The cradle of the Renaissance!

See the Duomo, Michelangelo’s David, browse leather markets, take an Italian cooking class, and zipline and paddleboard in a beautiful Tuscan canyon.

Days 22–24 — The Amalfi Coast, Italy 🇮�*

Sorrento • Positano • Capri

Cruise to Capri with swim stops, explore cafés near Piazza Umberto, relax on Positano’s beaches, and soak in sun-soaked coastal charm.

Days 25–27 — Rome, Italy 🇮�*

Plus Pompeii

Walk in the footsteps of gladiators at the Colosseum, explore the Roman Forum, Spanish Steps, Vatican City, and Sistine Chapel.

Visit ancient Pompeii, frozen in time by volcanic ash.

Celebrate your final night with friends and unforgettable memories.

Light, flexible travel — bring a large traveler’s backpack, not a rolling duffel.

*� Luggage

A large traveler’s backpack is required for this program.

Because you’ll be traveling frequently by train, metro, and through European city streets, participants must be able to comfortably carry their own backpack up stairs, across cobblestones, and between stations.

Rolling duffel bags are not recommended, as they are difficult to maneuver and not practical for this style of backpack travel.
