Course Description: English + Horse Riding at The Oratory School

Saddle up for an unforgettable adventure with our Horse-Riding specialism, where we blend top-notch English language tuition with professional horse-riding instruction and stable management.

Whether you’re a seasoned equestrian with your own trusty steed back home or a total newcomer to the world of riding, we have programmes to cater to all skill levels.

In collaboration with renowned equestrian centres, we’ve crafted a 2-week journey that not only hones your English language skills but also forges global friendships.

We will take day trips to London, Oxford, and Thorpe Park. As well as an overnight trip to Warwick Castle which are all fantastic opportunities. We have a market leading 1:6 staff to student ratio who are all residential to make sure students are looked after 24/7 as well as a wonderful nationality mix with nearly 90 countries represented across our whole summer.

Horse Riding Programme

Overview

Whether you own your own horse, or you have never ridden before, this specialism caters for every level of ability. Student’s on this course will get to experience many things from grooming and mucking out to jumping as well as countryside hacks. In collaboration with professional riding schools, we will make sure that over the course of this programme, students not only improve their English language and riding ability but will make friends from all over the world.

Take part in every aspect of working at stables, from catching the horses, washing and cleaning them to going on countryside hacks or even learning to jump for the first time. This programme is tailored to your ability whilst giving you the chance to socialise with other horse-loving students every afternoon.
