French Learning Meets Surf Culture on the Basque Coast
This immersive summer programme in Biarritz, France, offers teenagers the perfect balance of high-quality French language tuition, professional surf coaching, and cultural discovery. Set in one of Europe’s most exciting seaside towns, students learn French in real-life contexts while enjoying the Atlantic lifestyle of the Basque Coast.
Designed for international students aged 15–17, the programme combines structured learning, outdoor adventure, and a warm host-family stay to create a safe, enriching, and unforgettable summer experience.
Experience four surf sessions per week, led by certified surf instructors along the stunning beaches of Biarritz – one of the world’s premier surfing destinations. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced surfer, you’ll build confidence riding the Atlantic waves while refining your technique.
In addition to surf lessons, students will enjoy one half-day and one full-day excursion each week, offering the opportunity to explore the beauty of Biarritz and its surroundings. Plus, there are four cultural and social activities per week with the instructors, scheduled around the surf sessions depending on the tides. Examples include beach volleyball, laser tag, bowling, and a visit to Bayonne. One evening activity is organised once a week, for example a picnic at the beach, offering a great opportunity for socialising in a relaxed setting.
