Course Description

At the award-winning Cambridge Summer School, you'll have the time of your life. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to stay, eat, and study on the grounds of one of the world's oldest institutions. Discover the city that has influenced so many brilliant brains, including Charles Darwin and Stephen Hawking. Climb the Great St Mary's Church tower at the University for panoramic views of the city. Discover the 17th-century author John Milton's favorite gardens and the 1871 Gothic-revival All Saints Church. All of this history and culture will be ideal to share with your new acquaintances from all around the world.

Develop good speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities in English grammar, syntax, pronunciation, and colloquial use. Increase your vocabulary and lay the groundwork for excellent English reading and writing abilities, which can help you land a spot at an English-speaking institution.

The following are some of the things you will learn on this course:

  • Improve your reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, as well as your grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and colloquial use.
  • Intensive training and practice for over 20 hours per week will help you improve your English language skills.
  • Use your growing English language abilities with local speakers and in historic settings all throughout the United Kingdom.

We know you'll want to tell your family, friends, and instructors about your fantastic summer of exploration when you go home. We also recognize that you'll want to learn from your ORA teacher not just what you did exceptionally well on your course, but also where you may improve and learn more in the future.

You'll get a graduation certificate after successfully completing your course, which will be presented to you and your parents at a special ceremony on the last Friday of summer school. We'll also provide you a full report card that details all you've accomplished throughout your time with us, as well as some recommendations for future success.

Activities Offered

From the nicest coffee cafes to the dreamiest riverside gardens, from the lively Market Square to must-see stores, galleries, and museums, Oxford Royale Academy can help you discover Cambridge's secrets. You and your friends will have access to an incredible extracurricular schedule, which includes graduation celebrations and parties, city tours, historical excursions, and much more.

Visit attractions like Hampton Court Palace, London's theatres, and Woburn Abbey to create memories that will last a lifetime.

Food and Accommodation

Most of Cambridge's housing locations contain a mix of single and twin beds, with en-suite bedrooms available on certain campuses and shared toilet facilities shared by a small group of same-sex students on others. If you have a certain room type in mind, you can request it during the enrollment process, which may or may not be granted depending on availability. If you require a certain room type for medical reasons, please contact the camp's Admissions Team, who will be able to verify availability on various locations based on the course you have chosen. Remember, sharing a room with other students is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and make friends.

Meals are included, served in the Hall.

Campus facilities

All of the activities at the camp take place in a safe setting. Campus employees keep an eye on the kids 24 hours a day. All students must check in on a daily basis: at breakfast for roll call; in the morning for classes; in the afternoon for courses, workshops, or activities; at supper and before curfew in the evening. There is a curfew on all campuses. Each campus office offers a safe where students may store valuables such as passports, travel papers, bank cards, and so on. Residential staff are available 24 hours a day on all campuses.
