Immerse Education is an award-winning academic summer school that offers programs for students aged 13 to 15 in prestigious academic institutions. The goal of this program is to give academically rigorous content that expands participants' knowledge and love for their chosen field. The program also provides young varied and essential views into what it would be like to study at university through 40 hours of academic sessions over the two week.
Individual work, referred to as the "Personal Project" in this curriculum, is required. This is usually an essay or a presentation given on the last day of the program. Participants will get comments on their work, which may be included the final assessment of the participant.
The Immerse Education Medicine program's goal is to educate participants to the fundamentals of medicine and to emphasize the various paths open to individuals who want to study medicine in the future. Medicine is a fascinating subject that may lead to a variety of employment opportunities for individuals who explore it further. Medical professionals must possess a diverse set of abilities, including both intellectual and interpersonal abilities. They must be able to remember a lot of knowledge and keep up with scientific developments. Finally, they must be able to communicate with their patients and coworkers in a compassionate and understandable manner.
The Academic Insights summer course's social program is a highlight, allowing participants to establish friends with like-minded peers from all around the world.
Two trips, on-site games, sports, and other activities are included in the social program, as well as three formal lunches at various Oxbridge Colleges.
Food and Accommodation
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is included. These meals are served in one of the college's historic halls. Most medical and religious dietary restrictions can be met by the on-site catering staff. Please let us know if you have any dietary or medical restrictions well ahead of time so that we can make sure that all necessary staff members are informed.
All rooms are single occupancy with shared bathrooms, with one bathroom per four attendees on average. There are some ensuite facilities provided, with preference given to those with special requirements.
Participants are separated by gender in different hallways where restroom facilities are shared. Corridors may be mixed gender if ensuite facilities are available.
Participants traveling from London Heathrow Airport and returning at the end of the program can take advantage of a shared airport transportation service. Immerse Education offers a chaperoned service for an extra charge, which may be requested after enrolling.
Immerse Education monitors government recommendations on a regular basis, and any residential program will follow official health and safety criteria.
