Location

  • Campus located on the Collina d’Oro in Montagnola, overlooking Lugano, amidst Swiss mountains and Lake Lugano.

Activities

Included Activities (No Additional Cost):

  • Watersports (Twice a week): Paddleboarding, windsurfing, swimming, kayaking.
  • Indoor and Outdoor Fitness Activities: Volleyball, archery, recreational tennis, basketball, hiking, rock climbing, dance, and recreational soccer.
  • Dance, drama, and musical theater options are also available and culminate with performances during the Summer Arts Festival.

Optional Sports Clubs (Additional Cost):

Waterskiing

  • Learn basics, water safety, advanced skills.
  • Session One: CHF 500, Session Two: CHF 450

Sailing Club

  • Learn basics, water safety, advanced skills.
  • Session One: CHF 300, Session Two: CHF 250

Tennis Club

  • Enhance existing skills, kit provided.
  • Session One: CHF 700, Session Two: CHF 500

Milan Academy Scuola Calcio

  • Work with coaches from Milan Academy Scuola Calcio.
  • Session One: CHF 630, Session Two: CHF 530

Golf Club

  • Improve golf skills, limited to five students.
  • Session One: CHF 1000, Session Two: CHF 800

Accommodations

  • Students housed in separate boys' and girls' dormitories.

  • Maximum of four students per bedroom, grouped by age.

  • Roommates from diverse countries and cultures, no rooming with siblings or friends.

  • Emphasis on cultural exchange and global friendships.

  • Mark clothing with permanent markers using assigned numbers for laundry service.

  • Unclaimed items at session end donated to charity.

Excursions

Day Trips

  • City breaks to Milan, Zurich, or Lucerne with cultural tours and exploration.
  • Adventurous activities like canyoning, canoeing, rafting, or caving.
  • Relaxation at lidos in Ascona, Locarno, or Tesserete.
  • All day trips are included in tuition, and students return to campus each night.

Transportation

  • Boarding students should arrive on the program's first day for registration.

  • Staff pick up unaccompanied students at the airport (Included to the price)

  • Departure date corresponds with the last published date of the program.

Lesson Plan

Mornings:

  • Academic Classes for 4 hours.
    • English as an Additional Language (EAL)
    • Academic Writing
    • Italian
    • Intensive French
    • STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math)
    • Musical Theater
    • Digital Photography
  • Discovery classes for 1 hour based on their interests.

Afternoons:

  • Engage in sports, and outdoor activities.

Evenings:

  • Various activities like dances, group games, a World Cup soccer tournament, and social events after dinner.

Weekends:

  • Riviera hiking to ice climbing, museum visits to canyoning, Alpine villages to cosmopolitan cities.
  • Day trips include both cultural and outdoor adventures, and overnight trips explore destinations throughout France, Italy, and Switzerland.

Extras

Pocket Money Advice:

  • Bring pocket money for souvenirs or treats during trips.

  • Cash can be brought or sent ahead via credit card or bank transfer.

  • Recommended: CHF 40–50 per week for children up to 10 years old.

  • Recommended: CHF 80–100 per week for older students.

  • On-site Health Center with three nurses offering 24/7 care.

  • Close proximity to Civico Hospital for emergency care.

  • Communication required for any concerns about over-the-counter medications.

  • Health and Accident Insurance mandatory for boarding students; non-residents can apply for "Health and Accident Insurance Plan".

  • Day students need their own insurance or can apply for "Health and Accident Insurance Plan" if non-Swiss residents, with unlimited coverage but excluding dental and eye care.
