The new can be as daunting as it is exciting. For students embarking upon this first programme, it’s a chance to dive into untested waters with the reassurance that they will be supported by enthusiastic, caring experts. Together with a range of new peers, they’ll step into classrooms and onto our mountain to discover fresh and unexpected passions. The Classic offers a focused morning course of your choice that will allow your child to broaden their language skills, engage with an outdoor activity such as river rafting, mountain adventure or team sports, or study a STEM based subject. Each academic option is led by experienced teachers, who regularly audit their curriculum to ensure students receive the most effective and relevant educational experience available. Whichever courses you choose to engage with, you’ll discover that we’ve created a learning experience that opens students up to a range of new knowledge and fresh possibilities.
We have so much more, activities, excursion etc. If you want to explore more get more details here it.
Location
Our life here is inherently healthy, invigorating and inspiring – the students climb hills and see views on their way to the next classroom that would impress seasoned hikers. And that helps us to create an atmosphere not just of achievement, but also of challenge:
We are a place where staff and students - together - push themselves to new levels.
Combining purpose-built teaching and boarding facilities with renovated, traditionally Swiss buildings and chalets, the campus is like no other. Our school grounds and facilities are nestled amongst the Swiss Alpine village of Chesières and allow students to enjoy breath-taking mountain scenery as they stroll between classes.

Activities
As much as there is an emphasis upon learning and discovery, The Classic offers an opportunity for fun. Every aspect of our programme is carefully structured and we’re always sure to include inter-house competitions, recreational activities, and time for students simply to relax and enjoy time with their new summer family. We have crafted an expeditionary experience appropriate to the age and skill levels of the Classic students, on which they will be camping overnight, and participating in alpine adventure activities. The time your child spends with us will build confidence, and provide them with what they need to grow. By the time they leave, students will have engaged in the spirit of expedition and spent time under the stars of the Swiss sky. We view this as just the beginning.
Accommodations
Students are allocated their boarding house based on gender, age and to include a diverse range of nationalities. Each boarding house has a live-in team (house parent and two tutors) who manage the well-being of every student and are the first point of contact for parents. Rooms are spacious and are typically shared with two or three other students of a similar age.
Meals
Summer School meals are prepared by the school chef and his permanent staff who can cater for most special religious or other dietary needs.

Transportation
All travel arrangements should be communicated to us (via our Travel Forms) no later than three weeks prior to the start of the Summer School. The Travel Form is issued to parents when a student place has been secured. It is the parent / guardian’s responsibility to make sure that students are travelling with the correct documents for return into their home country.
Travel on the arrival and departure days is offered between 08h00 and 17h00 to or from Geneva airport as applicable. It is necessary for a parent / guardian to confirm if they wish to use this shuttle service for their child / children via a travel form - this will be sent to parents after a student has been registered for the Summer School.
Lesson Plan
At summer camp, the primary language is English, and as a result students receive a high degree of exposure to the language during their day-to-day interactions. We know from decades of experience that combining recreational activities with interactive learning methods results in students receiving an effective and enjoyable linguistic education. Our Interactive English course - available for students of beginner, intermediate, and advanced abilities - provides the opportunity to gain a greater practical and theoretical insight into this valuable language. Through interactive games and collaborative classroom activities, students will develop their skills on the path to becoming confident and competent English language communicators. Our passionate educators have crafted a curriculum which embraces project-led methods for engaging students with the tools they need to take their language learning to the next level.
Our campus is housed in the Swiss Alpine environment, and as such the mother tongue of our host country is French. Our courses place great emphasis upon incorporating interactive approaches to learning a language, and students will discover opportunities to explore the surrounding regions, utilising the skills learnt with our passionate teachers. As part of the Summer School activities schedule, we hold a French social evening, during which all students learning French come together for an additional opportunity to practice their improved skill set with fellow summer friends and Francophone staff. We fully embrace the concept that enjoyable educational exercises, supported by interactive activities and new experiences are an excellent method for students to absorb their new language.
Creativity comes in many forms, and here at summer camp students have the opportunity to mix technology with creativity. A hands on introduction to Robotics and Coding - students will work in small groups to build and programme a robot in our technology centre, and also learn the basics of coding and game building. For intermediate English and above. A morning course that offers a blend of experimentation and technology to the Classic students.
STEM subjects offer some of the most fascinating and enriching opportunities. Our Science and Engineering explorer course is the perfect environment to encourage the natural curiosity of students who live for experimentation, students who take things apart to understand the inner workings, and students who are obsessed with discovering how the universe works! Students create a course folder of activities which range from rocket building and robot programming to mountain science and botany. The course is hands-on and interactive.
There are those students that just live for the challenge of sport, and the joy of team games! This active morning course will focus on teaching students tennis, padel tennis, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, golf and other team sports in a group lesson environment. During the course students will also explore the local community and experience the varied mountain geography.
At summer camp we are fortunate to spend each day surrounded by the incredible vistas provided by our Alpine environment. Switzerland continues to offer opportunities to be inspired, and avenues for exploration. This new morning course will teach students about Switzerland's unique geography and culture. They will explore the local community, learning how cheese and chocolate are made, visiting salt mines, and experiencing the varied mountain geography such as gorges and waterfalls. For intermediate English and above.
