4-week-long-fun, filled with language studies, sports, visual arts, leadership and technology projects from Le Rosey Summer Camp for teens, ages 8-15, in refreshing Swiss air.
This July in Le Rosey will be archived as a “Classic” in the memory of your child
Like a movie or a book, the summer camp at Le Rosey has a potential to be called as a classic. It all starts with the drive to a fairy tale terrain that winds past vineyards, the shimmering lake and a backdrop of snow capped mountains. Old chestnut trees welcome you at the gate as you drive toward the 14th Century Château de Rosey.
Le Rosey Classic summer camp program at Lake Geneva is your child’s introduction to truly international culture in the world’s most exclusive boarding school.
Why It is a Great Choice
Improve your language, psychical strength and artistic side in a well known Swiss boarding school
enjoy breathtaking scenery of Switzerland in an international and multi-cultural environment (78 nationalities) and swap from one language/culture to another easily
Become more independent, forge lifelong friendship and have fun in a short couple of weeks.
In Rolle, 30km from Geneva city, Le Rosey’s main campus (for the boys) and the La Combe campus (for the girls) are situated within landscaped grounds covering 30 hectares.
The campus was established in 1880 in the Chateau du Rosey with its extensive estate. The historic original building, dating back to the 14th century, was then a run-down medieval castle, but it was carefully renovated and the campus improved during the 20th century.
The Paul & Henri Carnal Hall, known as the school’s Arts & Learning Centre, includes a cooking lab, visual arts and photography rooms, theatre and music studios. At the heart of the building is located the 900- seat Rosey Concert Hall.
Le Rosey Summer School at the Lake Geneva Campus is structured to make the most of your child’s time here, balancing intellectual pursuits with creative work, cultural explorations and time to socialize and make friends for life.
How? Here is the answer:
You can choose one of the following academies to specialize in during the four weeks of camp. There are 2 daily morning periods of 75 minutes devoted :
**LANGUAGE (English or French) **With an average class size of 12 students grouped by level according to the placement test done upon arriving at the camp.
**MULTI SPORTS **For the truly sporty; practice and perfect many different individual and team sports.
**VISUAL ARTS **For the more artistically-inclined; develop your artistic skills, explore ideas and focus on creativity with new machinery, new techniques and different media.
Children aged 13 and up can also choose:
The Leadership Program: hands on workshops in public-speaking, non-verbal communication, dance, singing, research, critical thinking, time management, self defense and more. The program includes outdoor challenges and nature expeditions.
The Tech Program: guided by Le Rosey’s tech wizards, your child will work through coding, robotics and 3D design to create a project that will be showcased at the end of the camp.
Le Rosey Geneva Lake Summer School provides on campus rooms which are spacious twins with ensuite bathrooms. Boys and girls sleep in separate buildings. Each room is occupied by 2 different nationalities/cultures to make sure an intercultural exchange can happen.
The afternoon’s activities are a mix of sport, tech and creative pursuits and children must choose 7 from the options below:
Acting and filming, Archery, Badminton, Basketball, Cooking, Creative arts, Digital photography, Football, Hip-hop, Indoor climbing, Nautical sports (Sailing, Stand-up-paddling), Robotics, Swimming, Tennis, Wake-boarding and wake-surfing, Water-skiing, Yoga.
