This 15-hour per week English language course at Bedford School offers students aged 8 to 17 the opportunity to enhance their skills in a prestigious British academic setting. • Weekly Hours: 15 hours

• Language Proficiency: Minimum level - Elementary (A1), Maximum level - Advanced (C1)

• Class Size: Up to 15 students (unless otherwise agreed)

• Age Range: 8 to 17 years old

• Accommodation Options: Students reside in one of the seven Oxford Boarding houses. Each house has unique features and different rooming configurations. On-site there is a mix of twin, triple and larger style shared rooms. Each Boarding House has shared bathroom facilities, shared common rooms and social areas.

• Class Schedule: Lessons typically take place in the mornings, divided into two 1.5-hour sessions with a break in between.

Academic Programme

📚 Lessons: 15 hours per week (two 1.5-hour Lessons)

👥 Class Size: Maximum of 15 students for focused learning

📈 Levels: From Elementary (A1) to Advanced (C1)

📜 Certification: Placement test, certificate of attendance, and all learning materials included

Excursions & Daily Activities

Each week students will enjoy one full day excursion to either London or Cambridge and two local excursions; one walking locally and one by private transfer.

🌍 Excursions: One Full Day Excursions every week to London (includes River Cruise and Museum) or Cambridge (includes Punting). Two half day local trips**.**

On-site activities include:

🏀 Physical Activities: Over 40 different activities on offer each week, including swimming, tennis, various ball sports, and team challenges.

🎨 Creative Workshops: Art, crafts, and theatre performances.

Sample Excursions

• Full-Day Trip to London – Experience the heart of the capital with a scenic river cruise, a guided walking tour. Students will also see iconic landmarks such as Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Downing Street, and Horse Guards Parade.

• Full-Day Trip to Cambridge - A wonderful opportunity to visit the World renowned University city that boasts unrivalled History, Culture, and Architecture. Students will enjoy a guided walking tour, strolling through the bustling narrow street passing the many University colleges and libraries - some oldest seats of learning in the world. After stopping for a picnic style lunch students will have the opportunity to try Punting on the River Cam - a traditional water based activity found in both Cambridge and Oxford.

These carefully selected excursions provide students with cultural enrichment, hands-on learning, and unforgettable experiences in two of the UK’s most famous locations.
