Throughout this Education Engineering summer school program for 13-18-year-olds, you will be introduced to the engineering topics that form the foundation of engineering at university, living and studying at the University of Sydney, and develop new skills as you work through a carefully constructed syllabus. You will be equipped with introductory insights to help decide whether you should pursue studying engineering at the university level. You’ll learn first-year engineering topics and develop both theoretical and practical understanding through an exciting syllabus designed by expert tutors from leading universities. In partnership with The Australian Army Museum of Military Engineering, Students will gain an exclusive insight into the rich and proud history of the Royal Australian Engineers. Participants will discover equipment and learn about the engineers and their achievements at home and overseas.

St Paul’s was the first university college in Australia. Alumni include two former Prime Ministers, three High Court judges, Supreme Court judges and 29 Rhodes Scholars, as well as influential figures in business, the law, science and the arts.

Our accommodation at St. Paul’s College offers the finest collegiate educational experience for our academic summer programme.
The college offers comfortable accommodation used by Sydney undergraduates during term-time, allowing for an authentic educational experience that blends immersive study with our exceptional social and cultural programme.
The college is perfectly situated to explore Sydney’s iconic landmarks including Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Sydney Opera House, Royal Botanic Garden and the Australian Museum.
In the heart of the city, students experience authentic university living amongst iconic landmarks for an unforgettable social and cultural program.
Participants stay in comfortable single bedrooms with access to common rooms and event spaces for our social and cultural program.
Males and females have separate accommodation, and there is wi-fi available throughout.
Sydney is famous for its incredible harbour and impressive landscape. From Sydney Harbour Bridge to the Opera House, the city is full of iconic landmarks, surrounded by beautiful beaches including Bondi and Manly. As part of the summer program, we provide participants with the opportunity to explore everything this destination city has to offer.
Outside of lessons, we are proud to offer a fantastic social program to help you get the most out of your time. This includes activities such as a Sydney Harbour boat trip and a surfing lesson at Bondi Beach. Participants can also experience a traditional formal hall in the magical surroundings of St. Paul’s College.
There is also a full day excursion during the program to explore Sydney.
We recommend that participants arrive between 14:00 and 16:00 on the first day of the programme to the campus
Students on our programme in Sydney will be staying at St. Paul’s College, part of the University of Sydney.
Upon arrival you should go to the Main Reception. Members of staff will be on hand to welcome you and help to the registration area. Here you will be registered and provided with your Arrival Pack, and keys to your room.
If you are arriving to Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport (SYD) we are able to offer a shared airport transfer service.
This is a chaperoned service departing from Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport Terminal 1 and travelling directly to the Immerse programme.
The transfers depart at **11:00 **and **14:00 **on the Sunday of arrivals.
The cost of this service is £70 per journey and bookings close on 30th November 2023.
If you are driving, short-stay visitor parking is available on-site.
On the day, please come through the City Road gates, down the driveway and look for our main office through the arched doorway on the left.

Our workshops are geared towards unlocking participants’ potential, giving them the tools to prepare for the next steps of their education and future goals. Build upon existing study skills to support future university-level learning. These workshops explore a diverse and enriching range of topics – past examples have ranged from ‘Productivity tips’ to ’21st Century Technology Skills’. We’re sure that you’ll learn something completely new. Unlike traditional schools, this camp allows you to learn beyond the traditional curriculum.
**Nathan J ** Nathan is a PhD candidate in the Bioelectronics Research Group at the University of Cambridge's Department of Engineering, has a Masters in Engineering (MEng) in Electronic Engineering and Nanotechnology from the University of York, as well as a Masters of Research (MRes) in 2d Materials from the University of Cambridge. Nathan specialises in biocompatible flexible electronics, conductive polymers, and 2d materials to realise state-of-the-art organic electrochemical transistors for neural interfacing.

PARTICIPATION CRITERIA [ ] This program is suitable for students with at least a B2 level of English. Students aged 13-18 years old.
[ ] Students are required to travel to Australia to join the program in person.
