Introduction to International Relations is a dynamic and conversational course that introduces students to key topics in global politics. This course, created by professional course writers exclusively for 11 to 15-year-old students, pushes students to analyze significant global issues from a range of perspectives through interactive exercises, debates, and role-plays. Students gain from being in a multicultural setting since it allows them to improve their English proficiency and confidence.
Students will get a broad overview of international relations, improve their English language skills so they can talk about it, learn about key international organizations like the UN and NATO, and debate a variety of important global issues like climate change and conflict resolution from various perspectives. Students will not only improve their language skills and subject knowledge, but they will also learn to think critically about various circumstances that affect today's world.
Students will take part in a Model UN simulation project in which they will play the roles of various country delegates and utilize their newly acquired knowledge of international politics to deal with hypothetical problems. Students will explore the perspectives of their respective countries, conceive, prepare, and present their arguments, as well as demonstrate their English language speaking skills as well as newly developed diplomacy, resolution, and negotiating skills.
SBC's student-centered approach allows students to continuously engage their language abilities, allowing them to return home with improved English language competence, a greater awareness of international politics, and improved communication, presentation, and cooperation skills.
