For a better future
The Summer School is for young learners, ages 8-15, who like to improve their English, French, Math and have best golf, mountain sports and media making activities in the heart of Alps in Switzerland.
Located in the heart of the Swiss Alps in Valais, home to the highest peaks and largest glaciers in Switzerland, Crans-Montana is a vibrant mountain town that sits high above the valley with a breathtaking view. Unlike other ski resorts, Crans-Montana lives year-round, having all the facilities of a large town without the inconvenience of urban life.
The camp has ultra modern campus inaugurated in 2015 with bright learning spaces, fully equipped houses, classrooms and sport facilities. All campers enjoy the sun, peaceful atmosphere and pure mountain air during their stay.
- 2 weeks of academic study in English, French, and Math, with project-based learning methodologies
- 2 afternoons per week of My Passion activities, including mountain sports, golf, and media making
- 2 afternoons per week of My Adventures activities, including creative workshops, water activities, skatepark, indoor skydiving, escape room, and more
- 1 weekend My Expedition, including an overnight stay under the stars
- Free airport transfer from Geneva Airport on the arrival and departure days of the camp during certain hours
Counsellors and teachers live on the floor with the students. The aim is to create a family atmosphere, to ensure the wellbeing of each child and to have a permanent presence to maintain order and security.
Boys and girls sleep in separate buildings with Juniors and Seniors on separate floors.
Any request to share a room with someone in particular should be communicated to the school one week before the camp starts. We try to make sure that each room is occupied by 2 different nationalities/cultures to ensure an intercultural exchange.
All our rooms are spacious twins with en-suite bathrooms that are shared between two rooms. All bedding and towels are provided.
Internationally inspired meals are served by our kitchen staff. Meals are prepared by our dedicated chefs and staff who pay meticulous attention to quality, presentation and flavour to produce healthy, balanced menus. Vegetarian menus are always offered.
During mealtimes, each student is assigned a table which is also shared with the camp teachers. Attendance at all meals is compulsory.
Any food allergies should be clearly indicated in the health questionnaire. Meals on the menu containing pork will be indicated.
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide Kosher, Halal or vegan meals.
We know how important birthdays are, and especially so if it’s the first time the children are celebrating it away from home. We’ll organise cake, balloons and sing ‘Happy Birthday’ in the dining room.
The recommended pocket money amount was charged along with the camp fees for boarding campers. Day campers should bring a maximum of CHF 30 with them every day.
Children will be able to withdraw small sums of pocket money, 1 or 2 times per week, from the person in charge. Once the money has been given to the child, it is up to him/her to be responsible for it.
If you wish to leave extra pocket money with the Direction upon arrival, please note that only cash in Swiss Francs can be received. We do not change foreign currencies.
Other expenses such as medical fees in case of illness, personal expenses (stamps, phone calls, shopping, excess baggage, etc.) are paid from the remaining pocket money.
Any amount still outstanding from the camp fees on the child’s account may be settled from the child’s pocket money.
If your child is travelling as UM (Unaccompanied Minor), the UM service must be paid to the airline prior to arrival to the camp.
The camp organise airport transfers from Geneva Airport on arrival and departure days during certain times.
Staff will be present at Geneva airport between 8 AM – 3 PM
Shuttles leave for Crans-Montana at noon and 3 PM
The first shuttle leaves Crans-Montana for Geneva airport at 5 AM and the last shuttle leaves Crans-Montana for Geneva airport at 11 AM. The travel time between Crans-Montana and Geneva airport is 2,5 hours.
Outside these dates and times, we are happy to help you organise a taxi, the cost for which is approximately CHF 600. This service is not included in the camp fee.
If your child is flying back home by themselves after the end of the camp, please make sure that their return ticket has been reserved prior to the start of camp. Please note that no visa, flight reservation or itinerary modification can be made by the camp.
If you are travelling with your child, we are unable to offer you transportation. The campus is accessible by car or train (approx. 3 hrs from Geneva)
The Summer School at Crans-Montana focuses on project-based methodologies, whether in the English, French or Maths classes. That is the recipe for a fun and successful summer camp.
After a placement test at the start of camp to determine the class, students study in small-sized groups from beginner to advanced through immersive projects.
