Course Description

Radley's academic program consists of 22.5 hours of courses each week. English Skills, Global Minds workshops, and mentorship are among the topics covered. The maximum number of students in each class is 12. Separate classes are provided to teenagers and juniors.


Radley College campus, set in 320 hectares of parkland, is situated close to Oxford and within easy reach of London. The nearest airport is London Heathrow, an hour away.

The facilities for study, sports and recreation are outstanding, including art studios, large IT suites and a new Science Lecture Theatre.

Sporting facilities include football, rugby and cricket pitches, athletics track, tennis courts, a Real Tennis court, squash and fives courts, indoor 25m 6-lane swimming/ diving pool and sports hall.

- Airport transfers by coach or taxi (for flights arriving or departing between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on specified arrival and departure dates)

- Private transportation (at an additional cost) can be arranged at any time and from any airport

Parachute games


  • Teens and Juniors are accommodated separately

  • Modern and traditional boarding houses. Single study bedrooms and some cubicles (partitioned dormitories) all with wasbasins. Shared bathrooms.

  • A school nurse visits regularly

  • Full board. All meals are taken in the historic, oak panelled dining hall. Varied menus to suit international students

  • Restricted access to mobile phones. WiFi available.


We provide 3 meals a day, plus evening snack. Meals are taken in the attractive dining room. Menus are chosen to appeal to international students.

Specific dietary requirements can be catered for with prior notice.

Pocket Money

We recommend **£60 per week **to cover personal expenses (phone/SIM cards, postcards, stamps, souvenirs, soft drinks, ice creams etc)

We offer a professional and friendly 'Meet and Greet' service.

Airport transfers by coach or taxi are included in the fees on published arrival and departure dates for flights scheduled to arrive/depart between 09.00 and 16.00 hours from/to specific airports (see below).

Once you have collected your luggage you will come out of the Customs Hall and see one of our airport representatives, holding the school sign with your name. Coaches/taxis leave at regular intervals to take you to your centre. On departure, we check you onto your flight and see you through to departures.

Lesson Plan


  • Radley is our largest centre and offers an exciting range of choice
  • Juniors and Teens follow separate programmes on the same campus - ideal for siblings traveling together
  • Juniors (11-14 years) - Ideal for confident young learners who have been away from home before. On campus Teens (14-17 years) have more freedom
  • Outstanding campus - the facilities for study and recreation are superb.
  • *22.5 hours' tuition per week (18 hours' in your arrival week) divided between English Skills and Global Minds and end-of-week presentations

*In exceptional cases, in order to place students at their correct level, maximum class size may be exceeded.English Skills

On arrival, you'll be given a written and oral test and placed into an English Skills class appropriate for your age and level Improve core skills, technical accuracy and spoken enhance fluency through stimulating and collaborative sessions Juniors e.g. Explore the world's most unusual houses, design your own! Teens e.g. Research and compare which countries are officially the happiest in the world and why. Write your own happiness manifesto

Global Minds

Each week you'll study range of Global Minds topics. You'll explore new topics and build confidence in important life skills (e.g. critical thinking, problem solving). Learn through researching, discussing, collaborating and creating. Session include British Culture, Digital Media, Drama/Music, Green Thinking, Global Futures and Science & Tech.

Science & Tech: NASA Explorers

  • Research life in Space, record an astronaut's video diary
  • Learn about the solar system, build a scaled model
  • Explore new language linked to space and astrophysics


Green Thinking: Eco Impact Photography

  • Analyse our impact on the environment, explore effective ways to photograph it
  • Use editing software and create impressive technical effects
  • Learn specialist vocabulary linked to photography and the environment


-Tennis or Fencing (at extra cost). £100/week (two sessions per week)

-Courier fee (e.g. for visa invitation letter), if required, £50.

-Transfers for those arriving/departing outside our free scheduled times on arrival/departure dates at the airports specified above
