Welcome to the Young Professionals Engineering Summer Camp at d'Overbroeck’s, Oxford! Designed for curious high school students aged 13–17, this immersive two-week programme blends technical theory with hands-on experience in one of the UK’s most historic academic cities.

You'll explore the social, economic, and environmental impact of engineering projects across global contexts. Through practical demonstrations, design challenges, and team-based activities, you’ll gain insight into how engineering solutions shape the world around us.

  • Learn to read, interpret, and produce engineering drawings and plans.

📊 Capstone Industry Project

Led by Class of Your Own, UK’s renowned social enterprise, this externally assessed project uses the Design Engineer and Construct! (DEC) framework. You’ll:

  • Take on the role of an engineer working on a real-life infrastructure challenge.

  • Apply design thinking and sustainability principles.

  • Collaborate in teams to create a solution and present your findings.

  • Earn a DEC award, endorsed by Training Qualifications UK and industry professionals.

You’ll gain exclusive access to hands-on workshops at leading institutions:

  • RI Crash Testing & L’Oréal Young Scientist Centre: Run real crash test simulations and design your own creative experiments.

  • Silverstone Museum: Learn the history of motorsport, explore racing technology, and get hands-on with authentic F1 engineering equipment.
