Course Description

On-Campus Immersion

Begin your journey with an immersive on-campus experience at Yale. Here, students will explore modern medical research techniques through hands-on learning, interactive lectures, and mentorship from renowned experts. This segment of the program focuses on developing critical thinking skills and a deep understanding of the research process. By the conclusion of this phase, students will have crafted a research project proposal, ready for review and further development.

Research Mentorship

Following the on-campus session, students transition to a virtual mentorship program with Polygence. This phase offers personalized 1:1 guidance, allowing students to continue their research at their own pace. With 10 virtual sessions, students refine their projects, with opportunities to publish their findings or present them at symposiums. Mentorship start dates are flexible, with options in August, September, or October.

Admission Criteria

To join this prestigious program, students must complete the Summer Discovery application and meet the eligibility requirements for the Institute for the Gifted. Detailed criteria are available on our FAQ page.
