Course Description

Storytelling and social impact

In this intensive program, students will explore the intersection of journalism and documentary film as powerful tools for truth-telling and social impact. Through small team collaborations, participants will conceive, research, and produce their own short documentary projects on issues that resonate with them. The course includes:

  • Reporting and narrative construction: Learn the essentials of crafting compelling stories through effective reporting and interviewing techniques.

  • Technical skills development: Gain hands-on experience in filming, sound, and editing to bring your stories to life.

  • Guest speakers and workshops: Engage with industry professionals and workshop your projects with faculty and peers.

The B-2 visa is for tourism and short-term study (under 16–18 hours of classes per week).
