Service Projects 🐢�*

Malama na Honu

Discover the anatomy, history, and ecological importance of Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. Working alongside staff from Malama na Honu, you will help with educational outreach, assist visitors, and share the importance of protecting this threatened species. You’ll also take part in hands-on efforts such as beach maintenance and coastal conservation.

Malama na Honu is a nonprofit organization devoted to protecting Hawaiian sea turtles through conservation, public awareness, and education—all rooted in the Spirit of Aloha.

Maui Ocean Center Marine Institute (MOC Marine Institute)

Assist biologists and conservationists with real scientific work, including photo identification of endangered sea turtles, coral reef health assessments, and marine debris removal. You may even witness a rescued sea turtle being rehabilitated at the center.

MOCMI is a Maui-based nonprofit dedicated to coral reef and sea turtle survival through science, education, and stewardship.

O‘ahu, Hawaii

Settle into island life as you relax on Secret Beach and take in sweeping coastal views. Hike the spectacular Diamond Head crater formed by ancient volcanic eruptions. Snorkel among over 250 species of tropical fish—many of which exist only in Hawaiian waters.

Maui, Hawaii

Learn to surf with professional instructors who will have you standing confidently on a board in no time! Experience an authentic Hawaiian luau, complete with traditional food and cultural performances. Explore the lush Iao Valley and the beautiful Twin Falls. As your program wraps up, take in Maui’s natural beauty one last time and reflect on the friendships and memories you’ll carry home forever.

Program Specifics ✈️

Flight to Honolulu, Hawaii

Flight times are coordinated, and participants are greeted upon arrival in Honolulu.

Internal Flight

A separate $195 USD fee applies for the internal flight from Honolulu to Maui.

Return Flight Home from Maui

Staff assist with check-in and remain until designated flights depart.

A chaperoned flight may be offered depending on the number of participants returning to the New York area.

Breakfasts are at restaurants (either at the hotel or nearby), while lunches and dinners are at local restaurants across the islands. A wide range of dietary needs can be accommodated, including vegetarian, allergies, lactose intolerance, celiac, and kosher-style preferences.
