California & The Canyons Teen Tour – 21 Days

Overview

This is a classic West Coast teen road trip: big cities, iconic landmarks, national parks, and resort downtime all in one itinerary. Starting in San Francisco and Lake Tahoe, the group travels down the California coast through Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, and San Diego, then heads into the American Southwest for Las Vegas, the national parks of Zion, Bryce & the Grand Canyon, and a relaxed grand finale in Sedona & Scottsdale.

Teens travel in a supervised, close-knit group with leaders who specialise in creating a fun, inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and involved. It’s an adventurous, social, and confidence-building summer with memories that genuinely last. ✨

Route & Itinerary at a Glance

Days 1–2 – San Francisco, California

  • Fly into San Francisco and kick off with orientation, icebreakers, and “get to know you” activities.

  • Ride an iconic cable car, explore Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39 (with its resident sea lions), and sample local seafood and Ghirardelli chocolate.

  • Visit Alcatraz and walk down Lombard Street, then take in views of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Days 3–4 – Lake Tahoe, California

  • Whitewater rafting adventure on the American River.

  • Relax on the shores of Lake Tahoe and swim under the California sun.

  • Try waterskiing with professional instruction or enjoy tubing or wakeboarding, then cruise the lake on a private charter.

Days 5–6 – Santa Barbara, California

  • Stay on the beautiful California coast with small-town charm and mountain views.

  • Sea kayak in the Pacific, stroll Stearns Wharf and State Street, and enjoy a beach day with swimming and sand games.

Days 7–11 – Los Angeles, California

  • Full theme-park days at Universal Studios (including SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™, Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurassic World – The Ride) and Disneyland with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

  • See the Hollywood Walk of Fame, TCL Chinese Theatre handprints, and Venice Beach.

  • Window-shop on Rodeo Drive and enjoy a night out at an IMPROV comedy club.

  • Sample dozens of food options at the Original Farmers Market (Fairfax & 3rd).

  • Stroll Third Street Promenade and the Santa Monica Pier with its world-famous Ferris wheel.

  • Learn to cook with professional chefs at a private cooking school.

  • Enjoy a Major League Baseball game (Dodgers or Angels, depending on schedule).

Days 12–13 – San Diego, California

  • Head south for warm sun and ocean breezes in San Diego.

  • Take professional surfing lessons on a local beach.

  • Visit the world-famous San Diego Zoo and its exhibits.

  • Explore Seaport Village on San Diego Bay.

  • Spend an evening at Belmont Park on the beachfront boardwalk and ride the Giant Dipper and other classic rides.

Days 14–15 – Las Vegas, Nevada

  • See the Bellagio fountains, the canals of The Venetian, and other famous hotels.

  • Ride the Big Apple Coaster at New York-New York.

  • Visit M&M’s World and the Coca-Cola Store.

  • Experience a Las Vegas show, such as a Cirque-style performance.

Days 16–18 – Zion, Bryce Canyon & Grand Canyon

  • Explore Zion National Park with its dramatic sandstone cliffs and valleys.

  • Marvel at the red, orange, and white rock formations (hoodoos) of Bryce Canyon.

  • Walk along the rim of the Grand Canyon for unforgettable views and photo opportunities.

Days 19–21 – Sedona & Scottsdale, Arizona + Return from Phoenix

  • Take a rugged Pink Jeep Broken Arrow tour in Sedona, surrounded by famous red-rock formations like Bell Rock and Chapel Butte.

  • Enjoy viewpoint stops such as Submarine Rock or Chicken Point and thrilling sections like the Road of No Return.

  • Relax at a Scottsdale resort: work out, tan, or lounge by the pool.

  • Celebrate the trip with a farewell dinner and final group evening.

  • Travel to Phoenix for return flights home, with staff on hand at the airport to assist.

  • Lake Tahoe – Lodge-style or suite hotels (e.g., Martis Valley Lodge or SpringHill Truckee) with comfortable rooms and outdoor pools.

  • Santa Barbara – Branded hotels (e.g., Hilton Garden Inn or Hampton Inn) with fitness center and outdoor pool.

  • Los Angeles – Airport-area hotels (Hyatt Place / Marriott / Embassy Suites LAX North) for convenient access to attractions.

  • San Diego – All-suite properties (e.g., Embassy Suites La Jolla or Homewood Suites) with extra space to relax after beach and surf days.

  • Las Vegas – The Luxor Hotel on the Strip with its pyramid design and one of the largest pool decks in Vegas.

  • The program is experienced in accommodating most dietary preferences and needs, including vegetarian, food allergies, lactose-free, celiac-friendly, and kosher-style.

  • Travel is by chartered, deluxe, air-conditioned motor coach with a professional driver for comfort and safety.

  • Airport transfers at the start (San Francisco) and end (Phoenix) are included for flights within designated time windows.

  • Co-ed groups, typically 28–48 participants.

  • Separate departure dates are arranged to keep age groupings compatible.

  • A dedicated leadership team creates a warm, inclusive environment and supervises teens throughout the tour.

  • There is also a middle-school departure option for students completing 7th or 8th grade.
