Course Description: Park City Adventure Tour: Teens' Epic Journey

American Voyageur Teen Tour 🇺🇸🇨*

The American Voyageur is the classic 40-day cross-country teen road trip through the Western USA and Canada – and it’s still one of the most exciting ways to spend a summer. Instead of staying in one place like camp, teens move from mountain towns to coastal cities, national parks, and Canadian resorts. They’ll whitewater raft in Wyoming, explore Yellowstone, ride a Via Ferrata in Whistler, kayak in Santa Barbara, surf in San Diego, and experience iconic cities like San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. With a carefully structured itinerary and supportive leaders, teens step out of their comfort zone, build independence, and feel part of a fun, inclusive travel family.

Itinerary Overview 🧭

Days 1–2 – Park City, Utah

Fly into Salt Lake City and head to Park City, where the group kicks off with icebreakers and orientation. Enjoy big-mountain fun at Olympic Park with ziplines, alpine slide, drop tower, canyon course, airbag jumps and Extreme Tubing down a ski jump landing hill at speeds up to 50 mph. Cool off at Lagoon-A-Beach and enjoy over 45 rides at Lagoon Amusement Park, including the Cannibal coaster.

Days 3–4 – Jackson, Wyoming

Head to Jackson for a classic Western adventure: whitewater raft the Snake River (rapids like Lunch Counter and Big Kahuna), ride the Alpine Slide and Mountain Coaster at Snow King, snap photos under the elk antler arches, and admire snow-capped peaks in Grand Teton National Park.

Day 5 – Yellowstone National Park

Spend the day in Yellowstone watching Old Faithful erupt, visiting the colorful Fountain Paint Pots, and looking out for bison and elk in America’s first national park. Overnight in Great Falls, Montana.

Days 6–7 – Calgary & Canada Olympic Park, Alberta

Travel into Canada and visit Canada Olympic Park, home of the 1988 Winter Olympics, with high-speed karting on a long downhill track. Depending on dates, experience the Calgary Stampede, “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth”.

Days 8–9 – Banff, Lake Louise & Jasper National Park

Base in the Canadian Rockies and see emerald Lake Louise, hike past Mirror Lake to the Lake Agnes Teahouse, and take a giant snowcoach onto the Athabasca Glacier in Jasper National Park. Sip glacier water, throw a snowball in July, shop the mountain town of Banff, and cross scenic Rogers Pass into British Columbia.

Days 10–11 – Okanagan Valley, British Columbia

Relax by Okanagan Lake at a lakeside resort. Enjoy the private beach, sunsets, and a fun Banana Boat ride before heading to your next adventure.

Days 12–13 – Whistler Blackcomb, British Columbia

Ride the record-setting PEAK 2 PEAK gondola between Whistler and Blackcomb. Clip into the Via Ferrata route and traverse cables, ladders and bridges with huge mountain views. Explore the pedestrian village, then unwind in spacious condo-style suites with a pool and hot tub.

Days 14–15 – Seattle & Vancouver

On the way south, stop in Vancouver to explore Granville Island’s markets and street performers. In Seattle, visit the Space Needle, Pike Place Market (and its famous fish toss), the gum wall, and the Museum of Pop Culture. Play Whirlyball – a wild mix of bumper cars, basketball and lacrosse.
