Course Description: Adventurers and Pathfinders Day Camp in London Westminster

London – Westminster Day Camp: Adventurers & Pathfinders

In the heart of London at DLD College, Westminster (opposite Big Ben and the London Eye).

A confidence-building day camp where children learn through projects in the morning and explore the city in the afternoon. Each day is filled with creativity, curiosity, and discovery.

Who It’s For

  • Ages: 7–12

  • Adventurers: 7–10

  • Pathfinders: 11–12

  • English level: Minimum A2 (Elementary)

  • Class size: Maximum 12 students

  • Hours: 08:30–18:00, Monday to Friday

How Learning Works

  • Led by qualified primary teachers

  • Cross-curricular, project-based lessons that combine English, Maths, Science, Social Studies, and Art

  • Weekly themes such as Creativity and Culture, Our Planet, Inventors and Explorers, or London Landmarks

  • Uses the CLIL method (Content and Language Integrated Learning) to help children improve English while exploring real-world topics

  • Focus on hands-on learning through making, designing, experimenting, and storytelling

  • Develops key skills in vocabulary, teamwork, presentation, and problem-solving

A Typical Day

Morning: Engaging lessons filled with stories, experiments, and creative teamwork connected to the weekly theme.

Afternoon: Guided adventures across London that bring classroom learning to life.

⏰ A Sample Day at Camp

Each day is carefully structured to balance English learning, cultural exploration, and fun activities. Mornings focus on interactive English lessons led by experienced teachers, while afternoons include exciting excursions, creative workshops, and group activities around London.

08:30 – Arrival

Children arrive at camp and are welcomed by staff. This time allows students to settle in, meet their friends, and prepare for the day’s lessons.

08:45 – Morning English Lesson

The first English lesson of the day focuses on building vocabulary, communication skills, and confidence through interactive activities, discussions, and games.

09:45 – Morning Break

A short break allows children to relax, have a snack, and socialise before continuing their lessons.

10:00 – English Lesson

Students continue with their second lesson, practising speaking, listening, reading, and writing through engaging activities and collaborative exercises.

Another short break gives children time to recharge before the final morning learning session.

After lunch, students have time to unwind, socialise with friends, and prepare for the afternoon excursion or activity.

Afternoons are dedicated to immersive cultural experiences and fun activities. Depending on the day, children may enjoy:

  • Visiting London Docklands Museum 🏛

  • Exploring Shrek’s Adventure London 🎬

  • Taking part in arts and crafts workshops 🎨

  • Discovering the British Transport Museum 🚆

  • Participating in sports and team games

These activities allow children to practise English naturally while exploring British culture.

18:00 – Pick Up

Parents collect their children after a full day of learning, adventure, and new friendships.
