The Summer Camp is perfectly designed to level up young learners’ language skills (ages 10–16), offer a wonderful opportunity to participate in team and solo sports, exercise their creativity, learn coding and explore Swiss culture and scenery.
Who would like to live and study in one of the oldest boarding schools in Switzerland, in the beautiful lakeside city of Lausanne? Raise your hand if you want to learn French, English or Tech, play lots of fun sports, get creative and make new friends from all over the world.
The Summer Camp is a home away from home where learning and living truly take place. It focuses on helping students become effective learners and balanced young people. Every week is packed to the brim with the perfect balance of intellectual stimulation, physical exercise and cultural exploration.
Let the Boarding School’s nearly 150 years of experience prepare boys and girls of today for the world of tomorrow.
Offers stimulating curricula and unique learning experiences which equip students with the attributes to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Improves collaboration and leadership skills through challenge, building courageous, confident critical thinkers.
Provides a physically and emotionally healthy lifestyle in a safe, inclusive environment.
The Summer Camp takes place in a beautiful, green, leafy park, minutes away from the lake and the forest, with ski resorts and high peaks only a short drive away. Within minutes you can be in the mountains and forests or enjoying cultural or sporting activities in the city.
On campus there are eight buildings, most dating from the early 1900s. Behind their old-world charm, you will find fantastic, well-equipped and up-to-date classrooms and boarding areas.
There are outdoor tennis courts, a full-sized gymnasium and ample outdoor spaces.
All Summer Course students live on campus. There are several boarding houses where boys and girls live separately, organised by age. A teacher lives on every floor of each boarding house and helps students settle in and make the most of their time.
Rooms are twin or triple, and we encourage students to share with someone from another nationality. In this way, they get to know a different culture and find a common language.
Rooms are large and spacious. Many have views over the lake and the Alps and all are comfortable and modern. Some rooms have private en-suite bathrooms, whilst others share facilities.
All meals are taken together in the dining room, with a choice of menus available. Special dietary needs can be accommodated.
Language Academy
Learn French or English in a class at your level (average 10 students). You will focus on grammar, structure and vocabulary. Oral work will develop your fluency so you can put your language to good use and build your confidence. Learning a language has never been so much fun.
Tech Academy
Dive into the digital universe! Master the art of programming, explore AI and build your very own robot to take home. You will be coding like a tech wizard in no time. Don’t forget to bring a computer with a keyboard.
At the end of your stay, you will receive a Certificate detailing the progress you have made.
BM Move
4 afternoons per week, you will enjoy sports on the lake - donut, paddle, pedalo - and on campus: basketball, football, gymnastics, volleyball, trampoline, hockey and much more. It’s time to get active!
BM Create
2 afternoons per week, combined with 2 afternoons of BM Move, you will find your creative voice with drawing and painting, get crafty making earrings, bracelets, bags and other fun fashion accessories. Let your creativity flow! Suitable for all levels.
BM Tennis Pro
2 afternoons per week, combined with 2 afternoons of BM Move. Our coach will transform your game from good to legendary! With top tips and techniques, you will take your game to the next level. Not suitable for beginners.
There are excursions every Wednesday. Students may visit the Cailler chocolate factory (yes, it ends with tasting sessions!), the Olympic Museum or Lausanne University for a science workshop. This is followed by a relaxing evening by the lake or on campus with a barbecue and games until sunset.
Saturdays are dedicated to exploring Lausanne, whether you visit the Chaplin Museum, the Aquarium, or go further afield to Bern.
Sundays are for adventure, depending on the weather: water sports on the lake, the caves in Vallorbe, the underground salt mines in Bex, Aquaparc and much more.
With lots of evening activities and weekend excursions, we are sure you will have a fantastic time.
The Summer Course is great value for money. There are no hidden extras, everything is included in the price:
20 periods of morning classes per week (French, English or Tech)
The weekly class trip every Wednesday afternoon to visit well-known Swiss attractions
