Course Description: Alpine Leadership Summer Camp in Lausanne

Set on the shores of Lake Geneva in the vibrant city of Lausanne, this leadership programme offers an exceptional opportunity for students to develop confidence, resilience, and leadership skills in one of Europe’s most inspiring natural environments.

Combining academic workshops with outdoor adventure, the programme is designed to challenge students both intellectually and physically. Surrounded by the Alps, the lake, and the cultural richness of Switzerland, students experience a truly transformative journey of personal growth, discovery, and global perspective.

Academic Programme 📚

Each morning is dedicated to interactive leadership workshops, tailored by age group and delivered in English.

Students improve their English naturally through immersion in an international environment.

Junior Programme (Ages 10–13) 🌱

Delivered by the IOC, EHL, and experienced counsellors.

A Typical Day 🕘

  • 07:30 Wake up

Afternoon Activities & Experiences 🌄

Afternoons focus on applying leadership skills through adventure, teamwork, and cultural exploration.

Activities Include:

  • Rafting and canyoning 🌊

  • Sailing and water sports ⛵

  • High ropes and zip lines 🌳

  • Alpine hiking and glacier exploration 🏔️

  • Visits to Swiss towns and castles 🏰

  • Cultural excursions across Switzerland

Senior Highlight:

  • Bridge swim experience

Unique Experience:

Students spend a night in a traditional Swiss mountain hut, building independence, friendships, and unforgettable memories.

Accommodation 🏡

Students stay in the school’s historic boarding house:

  • Separate floors for boys and girls

  • Shared rooms (2–3 students)

  • Allocated by age, gender, and nationality

  • Safe, fully supervised environment

Meals 🍽️

All meals are freshly prepared on-site:

  • Full-board (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

  • Multiple meal options available

  • Large salad buffet

  • Dietary needs fully accommodated

Student Welfare & Support 🩺

  • On-site nurse available daily until 10:00pm

  • On-call medical support overnight

  • Medication supervision provided

  • Access to local healthcare services

Phone Policy 📱

Students are allowed to bring mobile phones; however, to encourage full participation and engagement:

  • Phone use is limited to designated times

  • Typically 30–45 minutes in the evening

This ensures students remain focused on activities, social interaction, and personal development throughout the day.

Airport & Transfers ✈️

Nearest Airport: Geneva Airport (approximately 45 minutes from campus)

Included Transfers (on official arrival/departure days only):

  • Arrival flights: 08:00 – 18:00

  • Departure flights: 09:00 – 20:00

  • Transfers outside these times or dates are available at an additional cost

Students travelling alone may use airline Unaccompanied Minor (UM) services, subject to airline regulations.
