Are you ready to give your child an unforgettable summer experience that intertwines adventure with education? History Scholars is a transformative program designed for inquisitive 12 to 14-year-olds eager to explore the past and its profound influence on today’s world. Through engaging storytelling, interactive learning, and captivating excursions, your child will not only uncover the fascinating threads of history but also develop critical thinking skills that will last a lifetime.
In this unique course, students will embark on a journey through time, exploring pivotal moments from ancient civilizations to modern revolutions. The curriculum is not fixed; instead, our experienced tutors will craft a learning path tailored to the group's interests, ensuring every day is filled with relevance and excitement. Along the way, students will engage in:
Interactive discussions that provoke thoughtful questioning
Creative projects that bring historical concepts to life
Reflection time to absorb and process their newfound knowledge
Our approach is all about making history personal and engaging. With a focus on task-based learning, your child will be encouraged to share their interests, allowing our passionate tutors to weave these themes into the curriculum. Expect a blend of collaborative projects and problem-solving challenges that will make history feel vivid and applicable to their lives today.
Students will enjoy their stay at the prestigious Harrow School, where they will experience a nurturing environment designed to foster both learning and personal growth. Whether opting for a non-residential day program or a private room boarding option, your child will be well cared for in a safe and inspiring setting.
Harrow School has a history stretching back to 1572, when it was founded under a Royal Charter from Queen Elizabeth I. Over the centuries, it has become one of England’s most respected independent schools, known for its academic standards, longstanding traditions, and striking architecture.
Today, that heritage blends with a modern, forward-facing approach to teaching, creativity, and sport. Studying on this campus gives students a meaningful connection to the story of British education, offering an inspiring setting to learn, explore, and grow — whether they are just beginning their academic journey or ready to dive into more advanced study.
Students stay in standard shared rooms at Harrow School, with caring house parents and on-course staff ensuring comfort, safety, and support throughout their stay.
Meals are provided on a full-board basis, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included. Students eat in the school's dining hall or at local restaurants. All dietary requirements are catered for.
In our Plus (residential) programme, your child gets small-group lessons (max 15), accommodation, all meals, daily activities, supervised excursions, airport transfers (Heathrow 8 AM–3 PM), travel and medical insurance, and 24/7 pastoral care.
In the Non-Residential (day) option, they join the same lessons and daytime activities/trips but return home each evening.
Transfers operate from London Heathrow Airport on official arrival and departure days and are included in the programme price. Staff are stationed at Heathrow between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM to welcome students, coordinate transfers, and ensure a smooth arrival. Families are encouraged to book flights arriving before 3:00 PM so students can join the last transfer of the day.
Every student receives a certificate of achievement and written tutor feedback highlighting their progress, subject strengths, and suggested next steps as they prepare for more advanced study.
Learning will extend beyond the classroom with memorable outings to some of England's most iconic historical sites:
Warwick Castle: Step into the past as students explore this magnificent medieval fortress, complete with jousting tournaments and falconry displays.
Tower of London: Discover the rich history of this iconic castle, home to the Crown Jewels and stories of infamous prisoners.
Harry Potter Studios Tour: Experience the magic behind the scenes of the beloved film series, exploring sets and artifacts that brought the wizarding world to life.
