Set in one of Scotland’s most beautiful and inspiring university campuses, the University of Stirling-Celtic Programme offers students a unique opportunity to combine English language learning with an unforgettable football experience in Scotland.
The campus is surrounded by stunning natural scenery, including its own on-site loch, green open spaces, and views of the iconic Wallace Monument. Despite its peaceful, scenic setting, students benefit from excellent access to both Edinburgh and Glasgow (around one hour away), giving them the best of both worlds: a safe, campus-based environment with easy access to Scotland’s major cities.
Students combine English language learning with an intensive football development programme.
English lessons focus on:
Speaking and listening for everyday and team communication
Grammar in context
Project-based learning
Confidence building through collaborative tasks
Course structure:
English level: A1+ to C1+
Lesson format: Half-day English lessons
Total tuition: 30 hours over a 14-night stay
Lesson length: 1 hour 40 minutes
Maximum class size: 18 students
Placement testing includes:
Online grammar and listening test before arrival
Speaking and writing assessment on arrival
Each day is carefully structured to balance language learning, football coaching, and supervised leisure.

All activities are fully supervised. Timetables may adjust slightly due to weather or operational needs.
Students stay at The University of Stirling, a fully residential campus, with high-quality facilities including:

English lessons are delivered by qualified English language teachers, experienced in working with international students and mixed-level classes. Football sessions are led by professional Celtic FC football coaches with youth training experience.
