Designed for students fascinated by the meeting point of medicine and engineering, this immersive two-week program introduces the fundamentals of biomedical engineering through lectures, laboratory activities and project-based learning in Milan, Italy's hub for healthcare, life sciences and biomedical innovation. Participants discover how medical devices are designed, how the human body is modelled through biomechanics, and how biotechnology and diagnostics are transforming modern medicine — culminating in a capstone project developed with a partner biomedical engineering company.

01 – Foundations: Medical Devices & Biomechanics Introduction to biomedical engineering fundamentals, medical device design and how the human body is modelled through biomechanics.

02 – Biotechnology, Diagnostics & Prototyping Explore how biotechnology and diagnostics are transforming modern medicine, and prototype real medical technology in hands-on labs.

03 – Testing, Industry & Capstone Project Test real medical technology and apply everything to a capstone project developed with a partner biomedical engineering company.

Day Program (Monday–Friday): Morning classes 10:00–12:30, Lunch 12:30–13:30, Afternoon labs 13:30–16:30.
