Economics & Global Markets at the University of Toronto �*
The Toronto Pre-College Summer School offers motivated students aged 15–18 the chance to explore Economics at a university level while living and studying at the University of Toronto. This two-week residential experience blends academic challenge, hands-on learning, and cultural discovery, preparing participants for future success in business, policy, and finance.
Students gain a real taste of university life—attending lectures, working on projects, and collaborating with peers from around the world 🌍. Set in one of the most diverse and innovative cities, the programme connects theory to real-world application, helping students understand how economic ideas shape decisions, markets, and societies.

Economics explains how people, firms, and governments make choices about resources and value. This course introduces key areas of micro- and macroeconomics while exploring advanced ideas in data analysis, global trade, and economic development.
Through engaging seminars, discussions, and problem-solving workshops, students strengthen critical thinking, numerical reasoning, and communication skills—core foundations for higher study and future careers.
