Designing Tomorrow: Engineering & Technology will provide you with an introduction to the emerging technology that is shaping the future. Providing a broad foundation into engineering principles and fields, it will inspire you to take on the future’s grand challenges from alternative energy to advanced robotics and beyond. Open to students aged 15-18, this is your chance to immerse yourself in life at the best public university in the world, located in the stunning San Francisco Bay Area. Most of our accommodation sites offer a mix of single and twin bedrooms. Some campuses have en-suite bedrooms while others have bathroom facilities shared between a small group of same-sex students.

Meals

Meals in the dining hall of your college, every day of your programme (Meals provided: breakfast, lunch and dinner for ages 13-15; breakfast and dinner for ages 16-18 and 19+)

Pocket Money

There are plenty of banks and ATM cash machines (which may charge you for withdrawing money) in all of our locations. However it is also advisable to come prepared with a variety of payment means e.g. Traveller’s Cheques, bank cards, credit cards and cash. Students may keep money in their campus safe.

You will probably want to bring some cash with you for your first day’s travel, to cover food and any emergency purchases that are required.

San Francisco International is the largest airport close to UC Berkeley. A car journey from the airport to the Clark Kerr campus is approximately 30 minutes dependent on traffic.
