This high school summer program balances academic preparation, fun group excursions, and structured independence to help prepare teens for college and make new, lasting connections. Living and studying on the campus of UCLA, students will have access to incredible athletic facilities and be able to discover the collegiate energy of the Westwood Village neighborhood of Los Angeles. This is the 21-day version of this program. The 28 version includes a final week traveling up the coast to Santa Barbara and ends in San Francisco.

Location
UCLA’s incredible campus situated in one of the most vibrant cities in the world, Los Angeles, and surrounded by iconic neighborhood like Beverly Hills, Westwood & Bel Air.
Designed as a “college in a garden,” the 419-acre Westwood campus sprawls across the Santa Monica Mountain foothills and south into the Los Angeles basin. You might wonder if every building, bench and path has a story to tell. Chances are, they do. Would you like to listen?
You can also stay active with complimentary access to UCLA’s world class facilities, including gym, pool, basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, racquetball and squash courts. There are also climbing wall and games lounge.
For the last week, Santa Barbara campus,** **located on cliffs directly above the Pacific Ocean, welcomes you as it welcomes around 5,000 students per year.

We will greet you at the airport after you come through immigration and customs. We transfer you to the accommodations with no added fee as long as you arrive in our designated times. Our staff will be wearing clothing with our Westcoast Connection logo and have a sign with your name on it for easy recognition upon arrival.
The nearest airport to UCLA is Los Angeles Airport.
Lesson Plan
Perform meaningful service in the communities in and around LA as an Afternoon Course option. Projects are finalized in the spring, and those currently planned involve several days working with the children at a youth club and helping to maintain and beautify gardens in local schools with Enrich LA. A letter recognizing the hours of service and detailing the projects accomplished will be issued after the summer. We are a Certifying Organization for the President’s Volunteer Service Award.
*Students must be 16 years old by June 25, 2022 in order to choose this option.
Choose either a full-day track option or a morning and afternoon course. Your personal schedule and lunch time may vary based on your course choices.

Receive a letter certifying the completion of your courses. Letters of recommendation are also available.
