Pre College Fashion Summer Program for teens ,ages 14-18, at Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts is the combination of skill workshops and excursions which will introduce you to the design side of the fashion industry within a fun and creative environment in the heart of Cambridge.

Vogue! If you ever felt gravity towards fabrics, garments, design, overall fashion industry, Pre College Fashion summer program is the perfect gateway for you to discover the possibilities in the field.
During this 2 week academic summer camp, you will learn fashion from specialist, broaden your skills in the fashion world, experience design and fashion in the UK and develop your skills in draping, pattern cutting, machine sewing, fashion illustration and styling.
With students from all over the world, you will be surrounded by a thriving arts and culture scene. Don’t just stand there, you will have an abundance of stimuli to inspire your work and develop your creativity in the heart of Cambridge.
Completion of the course can enable progression on to our University of the Arts London Awarding Body Extended Diploma or Foundation Diploma if you meet the UAL entry criteria for the course.

Cambridge is one of the most famous and most instantly recognized city names in the world. It has been a centre of learning for 800 years and is the international symbol of academic excellence. But it is also fun! With 20,000 university students, virtually the only “business” of Cambridge is education and, despite its age, the whole city is designed for young people.
Central London is just 45 minutes away by train, and with a 20 minute commute to London Stansted Airport, Cambridge forms the perfect gateway to the rest of the UK for all.
The thriving arts and culture scene means there is an abundance of stimulus to inspire your work and develop your creativity. The compact nature of the city means you can easily explore the historic cobblestone streets, visit some of the colleges of Cambridge University, each with their own distinct style and history, or visit more than 60 historic places of interest.
Pre College Fashion Summer program provides a series of fun and practical workshops that you will experience a range of new techniques aimed at building a basis of creative skills necessary for further educational courses in Fashion.
Our lecturers are all working professionals who will spend time, sharing their industry level knowledge that underpins the teaching at all levels in the college.
Courses are nor limited by the classes, there are also opportunities to broaden your horizons through fashion related excursions.
During fashion summer camp, you will develop your skills in
Accommodation and Food
Any student, under the age of 18 studying at Fashion Summer Camp live in our dedicated under 18 halls at Varsity House where we focus on maintaining a safe, secure and carefully monitored environment for our younger students.Varsity House is only a 7 minute cycle ride to Fashion Summer Camp on Round Church Street and the centre of Cambridge.
All our rooms have single beds and an ensuite bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. The rooms have a wardrobe, desk and desk chair, shelving unit above the desk and additional storage either under the beds or bedside cabinets.
All our under 18 year olds must stay on our catered accommodation service, whereby breakfast, lunch and dinner are all provided in our central canteen at our main building at Round Church Street. We aim to provide a varied and interesting range of food to suit, as far as is possible, our broad range of nationalities.
Here in Summer School, action packed social program is waiting for you. Outside of courses, we are proud to offer a busy and diverse social program to help you get the most out of your time in Cambridge. This includes activities such as club night, bowling, picnic in the park, late night shopping, ghost tour, themed quiz, chill out evening programs.
There are also two excursions during the program on Saturdays, trips to visit London, seeing the city’s most famous landmarks as well as visiting the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A) or the Fashion & Textile Museum in London, the only museum in the UK solely dedicated to showcasing developments in contemporary fashion.

London Heathrow (LHR) and London Stagnated (STN) are the nearby airports. If you travel from and to those airports, transfers are being done by our team. Please keep in touch with us.
