The lockdown months have hit older teens hardest. Children aged 14-18 years reach a developmental milestone where they are now able to think abstractly, set long term goals, desire independence from their parents, negotiate peer influences and can be concerned with philosophy, politics, social issues and technology. These milestones have been hard to achieve in the current scenario.

Imagine a summer camp designed to help your teen undo the social and academic fallout of months spent at online school. A chance for your child to meet like-minded friends from around the world, exchange views, share experiences and form lifelong bonds.

The Senior Summer Camp at Institut Rosenberg is the perfect antidote to months spent indoors and will enhance your child's independence, social skills and creativity.

The camp runs from July to August with a minimum stay of two weeks.

General Director and Headmaster, Bernhard Gademann leads the Summer School programme at Rosenberg. He believes many children around the world have fallen behind thanks to remote or online learning. This falling behind could be academic, social or both. Institut Rosenberg is dedicated to helping children make up for lost time in the most delightful, engaging way possible. The Senior Summer Camp will ensure they catch up on classes but also meet their developmental milestones, especially at this critical age.

The Institut auf dem Rosenberg is renowned for its history of welcoming and educating international students. The summer school courses are very much part of the ‘Rosenberg Experience’ - a privilege to attend if you’re not enrolled all year round. The school promotes high standards of personal achievement, conduct and community spirit.

Rosenberg pioneered the trademarked Individual Development Programme, IDP - a holistic view of the world, inside and outside the classroom that prepares them for university and beyond. The school was recognised as the ‘Most Prestigious International Boarding School’ in 2019 by Corporate Vision Magazine. It is a member of the Swiss Federation of Private Schools as well as the Swiss Group of International Schools.

The Senior Summer Camp at Institut Rosenberg will have your child hone their language skills, play sports and make friends from around the world. The package includes 25 lessons per week, private tuition where necessary, boarding, and catering by Michelin Star trained chefs.

Students work in teams to develop sustainable solutions in science, arts and textiles. They will have opportunities to meet organisations to deepen their understanding of efforts and challenges.

Days at the Senior Summer Camp at Institut Rosenberg are packed with diverse activities, explorations and workshops comprising academics, technology, sports, sightseeing, hiking, visits to museums and more. There is also enough free time for the children to socialise.

The course will put your child back on track in an easy, healthy, invigorating environment and get them ready to apply to university where necessary.
