Our accommodation at St. Paul’s College offers the finest collegiate educational experience for our academic summer programme:

• Participants stay in comfortable single bedrooms with access to common rooms and event spaces for our social and cultural program.

Arrival Time for the Programme

Airport Transfer Service:

• For Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport (SYD) arrivals

• Shared, chaperoned service

• Departs from Terminal 1

• Transfer times: 11:00 and 14:00 on Sunday

Module 1: Medical Research - “From Bench To Bedside”

• Explore Nobel Prize-winning medical breakthroughs
• Revisit scientific method principles
• Understand stages of medical research and interdisciplinary approaches Module 2: Cardiovascular and Respiratory Physiology - “Rhythm of Life”
• Study scientific aspects of breathing and heart function
• Examine therapies for cardiovascular and respiratory diseases
• Delve into CPR, AED use, and address specific health questions Module 3: Neuroscience and Neuropsychology - “I Think, Therefore I Am”
• Overview of neuron microanatomy and physiology
• Analyze electrical signals in cells, body communication
• Investigate placebo effect and sensory illusions Module 4: Science Conference
• Participate in a mini-science conference
• Present assigned research topics
• Engage in critical review and discussion of peers' work

George M:

• Currently studying a PhD in Clinical Medicine under the supervision of Sir Peter Ratcliffe who won the Nobel Prize in 2019 in Medicine.

• His project focuses on discovering molecular and cellular mechanisms of acute oxygen-sensing in humans.
