Course Description

Oxford University is one of the most prestigious universities in the world, with a history of over 800 years.  The summer program gives students insight into what it is like to study at university and allows them to make friends from around the world.

The International Relations course at Oxford introduces students to important contemporary political and humanitarian issues. Students study real-life political models and analyze and debate global issues.  Students apply their knowledge during interactive role-play scenarios.  Students are encouraged to think about issues from the perspectives of multiple countries, which helps develop an understanding of diplomacy, critical thinking, and debate.  

The course culminates in a Model UN congress, held before an audience, in which all students play the role of a delegate from a specific country.

The summer school program includes:

  • 20 Hours Tuition per week
  • Social Programme (Afternoon & Evening)
  • 2 Full-day Excursions (Per 2 week course)
  • End of Course Report and Certificate

Students also gain access to an online learning platform "The Future Skills Programme" which consists of several short online courses that teach communication, leadership, and other practical skills.

Food and Accommodation

Students live at Oxford University student accommodation in Wycliff Hall.  Student rooms are single or twin study bedrooms.  Male and female students are housed in separate parts of the dormitory, with shared spaces in common. Dormitories and other facilities are cleaned regularly.  Weekly laundry service is included.

Outside trips

A full social program is included as part of all Oxford summer courses. Organized activities include sports, museum visits, and punting, as well as the opportunities for students to have leisure time in the city centre.  Other offerings include Formal College Dining and trips to the theatre. Students can also explore Oxford in their free time.


Airport transfers are available at supplementary cost.
