Course Description

Torquay is a beautiful resort destination for anyone looking for some sun. Torquay has its own microclimate, with mild weather, smooth sand, and beaches bordered by palm palms. Torquay is the ideal location for unwinding while learning English. Take a ride on the English Riviera Wheel to explore the sights if you're looking for some fun. Test your abilities at Jungle Journey Adventure Golf or visit the zoo and aquarium. In comparison to the rest of England, this unexpected oasis is a breath of fresh air. Dartmouth Castle, "coasteering" in Devon's sea caves, or Dartmoor National Parks are all worth seeing on a day trip to more typical British cities.

From our spacious camp facility in Torquay, you will get panoramic views of the sea. There is a games area with a gaming console, pool table, and board games, as well as the school's own swimming pool in the summer. The classrooms are bright and big, with interactive whiteboards, and there is a beautiful garden with an outside patio where you can enjoy the sunshine.

Enjoy the English Riviera's beautiful coastal setting. Take 20 English sessions (15 hours) each week under the direction of friendly tutors. Relax in our well-equipped gaming rooms and common areas after classes.

Food and Accommodation

Full board is included in the cost of the stay. This includes 21 meals served weekly.

Accommodations for this camps are homestay, with students paired with a trusted host family. Live in a local English-speaking homestay and learn about national customs and traditions while practicing your English in everyday situations.

All students travel from their homestay residence to school and return under the supervision of school officials, who ensure that all students arrive on time and can be reached via a 24-hour emergency phone number. After scheduled evening activities, students under the age of 14 are accompanied home by school employees or their hosts, or are brought home in pre-arranged taxis.

Campus facilities

The campus features a large yard with patio and outdoor terrace. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the campus. A common space with a plasma TV, pool table, PlayStation, magazines, and books is available. Every day, a variety of hot and cold meals are available on campus, as well as vending machines for break time snacks. With interactive whiteboards or projectors, the classrooms are contemporary and pleasant. Table tennis and an outdoor sports area are among the sporting facilities.

Outside trips

One full day excursion and at least two half-day excursions are scheduled each week, as well as a full afternoon activity program and two evening activities, with the remainder of the time spent with their host family. Some places they have been in the past include Exeter and Plymouth.

Transportation

Students must pay for transportation to and from the campus in addition to the tuition fee.

• Arrival: On Sundays, shared transportation is available (at an additional fee) from London Heathrow Airport between 07:00 and 18:00.
• Departure: On Saturdays, shared transportation to London Heathrow Airport is provided (at an additional cost) for flights between 10:00 and 21:00.
• On request, private cab transfers are also available (at an additional fee).
