  • The course, available throughout the academic year except during summer and Christmas, offers a robust blend of 20 lessons (15 hours) per week in General English, complemented by 8 lessons (6 hours) of English and vital life skills.
  • Additionally, the curriculum is enriched with 5 sessions weekly of either guided study or immersive cultural activities, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience.

Activities

Cambridge, an ideal study and living destination, features a cultural trip every Friday to explore the city's highlights. Midweek, we host a social or sports event, enabling students to practice English and socialize outside the classroom.

Accommodations

Homestays:

  • A bedroom, shared by two students of the same gender who do not speak the same language (however, some singles are available, please check before booking)

  • A shared bathroom

  • All meals included (weekday lunch taken at school) - Please inform us if you have special dietary requirements.

  • Laundry once per week

  • A change of bed linen and towels once per week

  • On the first Sunday of arrival, check-in with homestays should be between 12:00 and 17:00 (20:00 at the latest)

Excursions

Excursions are available for students at extra cost on most weekends.

Destinations include:

  • London,
  • Warwick Castle,
  • Oxford,
  • Windsor Castle,
  • Brighton.

The average price of an excursion is 55 GBP per person.

Transportation

  • Airport Transfers: Included for Heathrow and Stansted arrivals/departures on Sundays.

  • Arrival/departure time: Arrive by 20:00 on Sunday before course; depart on Sunday after course.

  • Aim for 14:00-17:00 on Sunday at accommodation.

  • For transfers to or from Gatwick or Luton airports on Sundays a supplement is charged.

  • Inform us if arranging your own transfer to accommodation.

  • Our team meets you at the airport, with transport to accommodation.

  • Unaccompanied Minors (UM): Check airline rules for under 18 travel; provide our contact details.

  • Travel Rules for Under 18s: Verify country-specific travel consent requirements. Parental Consent is required for under 18s traveling without parents.

  • Contact emergency phone if difficulty finding our representative.

  • Possible one-hour wait at airport for group assembly.

  • Journey From Airport: Be prepared for a non-stop journey; no toilet stops.

  • Delayed Flights: We monitor flights; representative will wait.

Lesson Plan

Morning lessons:

  • 09:30 -11:00 - Intensive study lessons 1 & 2
  • 11:30-13:00 - Intensive study lessons 3 & 4

Afternoon lessons:

  • 13:45-15:15 - Life skills lessons 5 & 6

Guided study or activity:

  • 15:20-16:05*

*There are no Friday afternoon lessons so cultural activities start from 14:00

Extras

  • Excursions: approximately 55 GBP per person.

  • Gatwick Airport Transfer: 215 GBP/one-way for a car to Cambridge, and 255 GBP/one-way for a car to Sir Edward in Ely.
